“When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time!”

‼️ JUST NOW: In his Michigan Senate victory speech, @AbdulElSayed says, in an Arabic accent “My name is Abdulrahman Mohammad El-Sayed,” now feeling free to be himself.
He goes on to use more Arabic, saying “alhamdulillah” & translates that to “praise be to God.”
Making it clear that he will embrace Islam very openly in office.

“We as a country, I believe, owe it to the world to open our doors.”
Get out and VOTE Republican against this.

Peter Thiel's critique of European tech is sharper than most people quote it:
"In the social democratic European societies, it's acceptable to be moderately successful. It's not acceptable to be wildly successful."
That's not a cultural observation. It's a structural diagnosis.
Look at the pattern: Skype sold to Microsoft. Spotify relocated to New York and listed in the US. DeepMind sold to Google before it could compound. Klarna — one of Europe's most valuable fintechs — spent years being investigated and regulated the moment it hit scale.
The moment a European startup gets big enough to matter, the social contract shifts. Regulators, press, and public sentiment move from neutral to hostile. So founders learn to exit early — not because they lack ambition, but because the system taxes it.
Europe produces world-class talent and early-stage innovation. It just doesn't retain the compounding.
The constraint isn't capital. It's the ceiling culture places on acceptable ambition — and founders respond rationally to the incentives they're actually given.

Things in Western Europe will improve when a few hard realities are understood:
1. Europe has no God-given right to be wealthy or stable. Things can & will decline and fall apart if not maintained and adapted to new realities. Things that worked in the 1970s may be counterproductive now.
2. Energy is the basis of the economy. Without it, nothing else matters. While efficiency will be important, any economy where energy is scarce will inevitably be one that struggles
3. Not all cultures are equal. Some create prosperity, some lead to misery, some are outright evil. If Europe doesn't accept this, the cultural basis of its previous success & prosperity will be destroyed forever
4. Have kids, or die out. In the long term, few things matter this much. You can't create a European future if there are no Europeans left for it, and as the experiences of the last few decades show, non-European immigration simply makes Europe culturally less European - and doesn't magically make these people culturally European.
5. The state can not - and should not - save every individual from him/herself from him/her bad choices or ineptitudes. The idea of a nanny state which can ensure that everyone always live comfortably with minimal effort & contributions 100% of time is not feasible. The socialist promises of 30 years of wealthy retirements for everyone and Europe being able to take on endless low skill immigration were lies.
6. If a society has no way for ambitious & creative people to get rich from working hard, everyone will get poorer because of it. The hard truth is that much of our economic future depends on businesses being built & transformed by ambitious & sometimes ruthless individuals. Not everyone is able or willing to do this, and without them, there is no one to employ others and no wealth & growth to tax. But if businesses & wealth are seen solely as an evil force to be taxed into oblivion, they will go elsewhere.
7. In some cases, the best way for society to deal with a criminal is to lock them up and throw away the key. A small percentage of humans are ticking time bombs - low IQs, high aggression potential, psychopathic traits, socialised into criminal structures or a culture of lawlessness. Society can't fix them. They go in and out of court rooms and across Europe states, NGOs & social workers waste billions of hours & Euros to try & fix the unfixable. Not least because of mass immigration from dysfunctional societies, our legal systems & high trust societies built on principles such as the benefit of the doubt & correction via socialisation are overwhelmed by the amount of aggressive young men with no interest to contribute to society.
All of this is fixable. But the first step is accepting reality.

Europe is: Homer. Aristotle. Leonardo da Vinci. Michelangelo Buonarroti. William Shakespeare. Galileo Galilei. René Descartes. Isaac Newton. Antonio Vivaldi. Johann Sebastian Bach. Voltaire. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Ludwig van Beethoven. Charles Darwin. Leo Tolstoy. Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Vincent van Gogh. Nikola Tesla. Guglielmo Marconi. Albert Einstein. Pablo Picasso. Niels Bohr. The EU is: a 33 year old plague of nameless, soulless bureaucrats in overpriced suits.
Hope this helps you grasp the difference.

Ludwig von Mises built the intellectual case against central planning so thoroughly that his critics never actually refuted it. They ignored it, mocked it, then watched the Soviet Union collapse in 1991, confirming every word.
His 1920 paper on socialist calculation cut to the bone: without private property and genuine price signals, planners fly blind. Prices carry information no committee can replicate. Kill the market, kill the signal, and you get Soviet bread lines and Venezuelan grocery shelves stripped bare.
Mises lived this. He fled Vienna in 1940 with the Nazis closing in, arrived in New York nearly broke, and rebuilt his career at NYU largely without a paid faculty position. The establishment academia of his era dismissed him because he made their Keynesian comfort too expensive to keep.
Human Action, published in 1949, remains the most comprehensive defense of individual liberty and market order ever written. You live inside an economy shaped by bad ideas Mises systematically destroyed, but nobody told you.

This is a ridiculous attempt to bring up a case from eight years ago. You have no real arguments to justify your indefensible actions - just like Hungary’s new government. The truth is that you are just as much of an arrogant, Brussels-backed liberal authoritarian as Péter Magyar. And both of you will fall into the very traps you have set for others.

The average European energy company earns a 9% net margin after investing billions and creating jobs.
The state takes:
21% of its profits
30% of its revenue
45% of total employee labour costs.
50% of the final energy price.
And some people still want more government.

🇺🇸🇪🇺 NATURAL GAS IS ~$3 IN AMERICA AND OVER $30 IN EUROPE
That is an almost unbelievable arbitrage opportunity!
Buy cheap U.S. gas, liquefy it, ship it across the Atlantic and Europe will pay multiples of the original price.
And traders ARE doing exactly that.
The problem is you can’t scale it fast enough.
Liquefaction capacity, LNG tankers and European import terminals put a physical ceiling on how much cheap American gas can reach the market.
The arbitrage is staring everyone in the face.
Who do you think is ultimately responsible for this massive price gap, and for Europe paying the price every winter?

I think people forget just how evil Judge Alexandre de Moraes is. This is the guy that went after Elon and blocked X in Brazil for two months.
Brazilian authorities and media are trying to find out where Flavio Bolsonaro is.
Brazil's notorious authoritarian Judge Alexandre de Moraes -- before the votes were counted -- already had an order prepared to seize Bolsonaro's passports and bar him from leaving the country even though **he's been charged with no crime** (there are various pending financial investigations). Moraes signed the order barring Bolsonaro from leaving Brazil SEVEN MINUTES after Lula was declared the winner on Sunday night.
A media outlet in Argentina this morning reported that Bolsonaro entered Argentina to fly to the US. His friends and allies deny this, but Flavio could easily just appear in Brazil or even by video and has not done so. Argentina is being sketchy, evasive and somewhat uncooperative with Brazil's federal police (Lula and Milei are obviously not allies).
Whatever else is true, it is not exactly a sign of a healthy, normal or functioning democracy when the candidate who narrowly loses a presidential race -- and concedes defeat -- is suddenly barred from leaving the country by a Supreme Court Judge now globally notorious for censoring, imprisoning and otherwise persecuting his critics and opponents of Lula's government. It is also worth noting that Bolsonaro's party dominates the Senate, having run on a vow to impeach Moraes, and this is seen by many as a kind of leverage/hostage ploy by Moraes to cling to power.

This is forced mobilization in Volyn. A man is brutally beaten and then shoved into a bus. This is no longer about defending the country. It is about breaking people who have already given everything. Ordinary Ukrainians are being hunted, beaten, and dragged away while the nation is exhausted and bleeding. When the state turns on its own like this, it is not protecting anyone — it is finishing what the war started.
