Amazing, compassionate, instructive thread about #domesticviolence from Northants Police. From crime to comms, this is policing done right 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Let the world see that this is how the police ‘protect’ women in London, mourning one of ours whilst one of theirs is charged with kidnap and murder. #ArrestYourOwn
And yet the news report that the vigil turned violent as though those attending were the troublemakers. It turned sinister when the police showed up to manhandle women after dark. #reclaimthesestreets from #PoliceBrutality #ArrestYourOwn
While the police were manhandling peaceful mourners, one woman was subjected to indecent exposure and they did nothing. The @metpoliceuk are not here to protect us. Not at all. @BBCNews @ReclaimTS @LBC #ReclaimTheseStreets #ReclaimTheNight #claphamcommon

Now we have to stage a protest to demand the release of the women arrested for holding a peaceful vigil for #SarahEverard who was murdered (allegedly) by a policeman. Despite our candles, a dark day. #reclaimthenight
The @metpoliceuk failed Sarah Everard and now they’ve failed all of us. All we wanted to do was honour her safely and channel our collective grief. Your reassurances all week about protecting women in our community are sounding very hollow today @pritipatel #ReclaimTheseStreets
Update: We are sorry to confirm that our Clapham vigil scheduled for tonight is cancelled. Please see the full statement here.
Instead, we are fundraising £320,000 for women's causes: £10K for every proposed fine for the 32 vigils originally scheduled. justgiving.com/crowdfunding/…

IMPORTANT ADVICE FOR ANTI-VAXXERS: If you are worried that you might be having a heart attack, you may *think* you need to get to hospital ASAP (as all major health orgs would advise), however my mate told me they heard about this one time that an ambulance got in a crash...
