I’m writing to the EHRC to make a formal complaint about Mike Tapp violating the IHRA definition of antisemitism by conflating Judaism and Israel.
We welcome confirmation today from the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) that, following our formal complaint, it has written to the Green Party to establish the facts surrounding its “Zionism is racism” motion and its practical implications.
The EHRC has also acknowledged the vulnerability many Jewish people may be feeling following the motion.
Antisemitism and discrimination have no place in British politics. We welcome the EHRC taking our concerns seriously and look forward to its further consideration of this matter.
