I'll be at @blockchain_irl today from 3–6 PM at The Sugar Club, Dublin, representing @Kintsu Credit. Keen to connect with anyone working on tokenised assets, institutional DeFi, onchain lending and @CantonNetwork. Particularly interested in chatting with asset issuers, lenders, borrowers, curators and anyone exploring how to bring more liquidity and utility to tokenised assets. Give me a shout if you're around! Funnily enough, the last time I was at The Sugar Club was back in June, headlining with my band Luna Motif. Funny how worlds collide!

In five years, underwriting a loan against assets you already hold, like a $50,000 stock position, could cost close to $0, making collateral lending beyond mortgages and car loans finally viable. @YuvalRooz discusses with @_TalkingTokens.

That line is the whole institutional credit problem. Lenders need to see collateral and exposures, but they can't broadcast their own positions to the market. Getting both on the same rails is what brings private credit onchain. (Disclosure: Arche Capital is an investor in Kintsu.)
Enough transparency to assess risk. Enough confidentiality to commit capital. Kintsu’s credit markets. Built on @CantonNetwork

Curated credit is coming to Canton.
The New York Stock Exchange (@NYSE) says it's "leading the industry toward fully on-chain solutions." Onchain is step one. The real unlock is borrowing against it. Isolated markets. Curated vaults. Private by default on @CantonNetwork. Curated credit is coming to Canton.

Tokenized securities need a way to be used as collateral. Kintsu is building private lending markets for borrowing against them on Canton. Private beta is open.
Kintsu's private beta is officially open on @CantonNetwork. Everything is getting tokenized. But the assets won't move until the financing does. We're building the infrastructure to catalyze this new paradigm: private lending markets, curated vaults, and staking. 🧵 1/6

Someone with decades of experience in traditional finance recently said something on a call with our team that stuck with me: 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟮𝗗 𝘁𝗼 𝟯𝗗. The more I think about it, the more it describes what excites me about what we're building with @Kintsu Credit. Traditional financial products are often relatively rigid. DeFi started changing that. Markets became composable. Parameters could be changed. Curators could build different vaults around different strategies and risk models. But I think we're only scratching the surface of what 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 can look like. Imagine an asset issuer or curator being able to build a credit market around the actual characteristics of an asset. LLTV. Interest rates. Liquidity. Liquidators. Participants. Risk parameters. Fees. All interacting with each other. This is actually reflected in the UX @StovenLabs and the team have been building. As you configure a market, you can visually interact with these parameters through a fluid 3D graph and see how changing one variable affects the structure of the market. It's a small example of the bigger idea. 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝘁. And building on @CantonNetwork means we can explore this programmability with privacy and permissions built into the infrastructure from day one. That's particularly interesting when you start thinking about tokenised securities and RWAs. The people who understand an asset best often know where its liquidity is, who should liquidate it, who should participate and how its risk should actually be structured. Give those people the tools to programme that knowledge into the market itself. That's the bit that gets me excited. We're bringing our DeFi brain into an institutional environment and asking: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲? And there's quite a bit more we've built that I'm deliberately not talking about publicly yet. 👀 If you're an asset issuer, allocator or curator, happy to show you privately.

DeFi will win. Today’s SEC Innovation Exemption is a landmark moment. It reminds me of an analogy someone I deeply respect made about crypto & Napster. Do you remember that feeling when you downloaded your first MP3 file peer-to-peer across the internet through Napster or LimeWire? You wait a minute, press play, and it feels like magic. You never forget that kind of feeling. Once you’ve experienced what music can be, there’s really no going back. DeFi gives you that same feeling. It might be that first time you worked up the courage and yeeted some money into Bitcoin. The first time you ever used Uniswap. Hyperliquid. You kind of “just do it,” and even if you don’t fully understand the magic yet, that’s what true innovation feels like. Hold your own assets. Trade directly from your wallet. Markets that run 24x7 and never close. Once you’ve experienced it, the question becomes, “Why would finance work any other way?” That’s the effect great dApps and blockchains have on people. But without the freedom to challenge the status quo, progress grinds to a halt. For those of us who have spent years obsessing over & building web3, seeing @HesterPeirce, @SECPaulSAtkins & the whole @SECGov team make room for experimentation with real-world assets feels pretty incredible. Napster gave us a glimpse of what the internet could truly do for music. And DeFi is continuing to show what it can do for capital markets. Finally, the rules are getting clearer and moving in the right direction. Thank you for your hard work to make space for innovation of all shapes and sizes. And most of all, thanks for helping turn the page on an era of punishing the good actors. That’s the feeling we’re building toward with @Kintsu on @CantonNetwork. Your first glimpse of what finance can feel with full composable privacy across not just crypto and stablecoins, but real tokenized equities & treasuries. Anyways, sounds like time to build. America is once again the best place in the world to be an innovator.

The first portfolio on Monad holds every major staked MON token at once. shMON by @0xFastLane, sMON by @Kintsu, and gMON by @MagmaStaking in one deposit and you don't have to touch it again. Staking MON now takes care of itself.

This gang keeps on working to make the EVM great again. Props @monad @category_xyz on unfucking storage For the layman, normally Ethereum’s solidity smart contracts store data in 32-byte “slots.” Balances, positions, configuration, whatever the application needs all ultimately live in these little pieces of state onchain. The EVM was designed scattering a single contracts storage randomly spread throughout a giant database. It tells the computer what piece of data you want, but historically gives it no useful assumption that slot 2 will be physically stored next to slot 1… or slot 3. One might be in Antarctica while the others are scattered throughout New York, Singapore and Bangladesh The problem is basically a filing cabinet problem. If you need five related files, you want to open one drawer and find them all together, not hunt for one in the basement, another in the attic, and another in your office. Computers work the same way. Modern hardware is much more efficient when related data is stored together and can be pulled in as a group, rather than forcing the machine to go looking in different places for each tiny piece. MIP-8 changes that by grouping contiguous EVM storage slots together into the same underlying page. Now when the computer loads one chunk of contract state, the nearby state it is likely to need comes along with it. Might sound easy but this is actually a very hard problem. Notably code written to leverage the efficiency that MIP-8 introduces on Monad won’t really work on other chains. It kind of starts to erode the EVM’s practical backwards compatibility… your code will still work on another EVM chain, but the gas bill may look something like a desperate cry for help lol
MIP-8 is live today on Monad mainnet! MIP-8 addresses a huge inefficiency in how state is stored in the EVM, by assigning contiguous slots to the same disk page, thus making lookups of multiple contiguous slots MUCH cheaper Now each chunk of 128 slots only costs one lookup, how it always should have been Monad is addressing fundamental inefficiencies in the EVM execution layer. This is the first big one since the launch of mainnet, with many more to come

DeFi lending gets explained like it’s a new species of finance. It really isn’t. A lending market is basically just a low friction & composable version of a secured lending facility. Pick the collateral, loan asset, LTV, pricing (rates), caps, and liquidation rules. Lenders provide capital. Borrowers post collateral and borrow against it. Vaults are the next layer up: managed portfolios that allocate across those lending markets. The real unlock is what happens when these structures become software/smart contracts onchain. New facilities can be launched faster and at lower marginal cost. Risk and eligibility rules are enforced programmatically. The structured products can sit on top combining credit exposure, assets, and funding across markets instead of living inside their own operational silos And better rails shouldn’t mean worse privacy… transaction level transparency in most scenarios is a bug not a feature Traditional financial markets don’t require every trader, lender, or borrower to publicly broadcast every position and trade. Privacy and compliance aren’t opposites. There one and the same. You should be able to prove eligibility and enforce restrictions without publishing your entire portfolio to the public internet. Canton.
Privacy is a structural requirement for institutional finance. @Kintsu is building composable, privacy-preserving credit markets and curated vaults on Canton Network, spanning crypto and capital markets. @StovenLabs on why Canton was the right fit for implementing that vision.

This is a much bigger move than just a rebrand. @Kintsu is expanding from liquid staking into confidential credit and digital capital markets, with Canton at the center of it.
Kintsu began with liquid staking. We are now expanding the platform into confidential credit and digital capital markets. The work developed under @Cenote_network is moving under Kintsu. The Cenote brand is retiring, and the capital markets product under development will launch as Kintsu Capital Markets. Kintsu Capital Markets is being built to support confidential credit markets, curated market structures and programmable financial infrastructure for tokenized assets on @CantonNetwork Kintsu’s liquid staking products remain part of the broader platform. Going forward, all capital markets research, development updates and product communication will come from Kintsu. One Kintsu. One platform. kintsu.xyz/

btw, kintsu has the highest native staking yield on monad currently at 13.94% and might go higher not sure why but anyway, might as well stake your $MON on kintsu more opportunities on the way points available too still here, building stuff.

Whacky DeFi strategy of the Day by @Here4AlphaOnly & Tom: How to turn 100k $MON + $2,500 USDC into ~51% APY using @Curvance + @Kintsu + @beefyfinance Here's the rough math 🧮 Starting position: 100k MON (~$3,250) $2,500 USDC Total capital: $5,750 Step 1: Stake MON → sMON via Kintsu: kintsu.xyz/staking This gives you your liquid staking exposure + 5x Kintsu points boost + Curvance Bytes ⚡️Your MON stays productive while you move to the next step. Step 2: Deposit sMON as collateral on Curvance 💾 → Earn 18.78% APY on your collateral → 90% LTV means you can borrow up to 90k WMON using Curvance. This is where the leverage kicks in Step 3: Borrow 90k WMON (~$2,925) Borrow cost: 15% APY (normally lower, but varies) But here's the key 🔑 you're earning 18.78% on collateral while paying 15% to borrow, and gettting the net spread +3.78% just from the Curvance position and reaping the points over time. Step 4: LP your borrowed WMON + USDC in Beefy 🐄 app.merkl.xyz/opportunities/… $2,925 WMON + $2,500 USDC = $5,425 in the WMON-USDC vault Current APY with Merkl campaigns: ~47% 🤑 The full breakdown: Collateral yield: +18.78% Borrow cost: -15% LP yield: +47%, Net APY: ~51% On $5,750 starting capital, that's ~$2,900/year in yield depending on when @beefyfinance yield campaigns expire. *An extra nuance is utilizing the Beefy yield to pay off the debt on Curvance
