Had a chat with Raila Odinga Jr yesterday. Full chat at end of video. RAILA’S LEGACY DESERVES MORE THAN ANOTHER DEAL WITH RUTO. Raila Odinga helped win multiparty democracy and the 2010 Constitution. His 7 March 2025 pact with @WilliamsRuto promised action against corruption, a debt audit, protest rights and an end to abductions. @Railajunior backs Ruto’s re-election. Here is the record. • IPOA says 65 people died across four June–July 2025 protests. • Amnesty estimates at least 128 deaths and over 83 enforced disappearances across the June 2024–July 2025 protests. • Amnesty Kenya’s 30 August 2026 statement cites Missing Voices data recording 69 police killings and 19 enforced disappearances in 2026 so far. These figures overlap and cover different periods. • Kenya’s Corruption Perceptions Index fell from 32/100 in 2024 to 30/100 in 2025. Lower means worse. • The World Bank estimates corruption and collusion add about 2% of GDP to annual deficits. At 2025 GDP, that is roughly KSh352 BILLION. What does that mean for a Kenyan household? That sum equals either of these • About KSh6,500 for EVERY Kenyan — KSh26,000 for a family of four. OR • A full year of grants for public primary, junior and day secondary schools, PLUS about 64% of the annual public teacher pay and health insurance budget. Compensation payments have begun. Families also deserve the truth, missing relatives accounted for and criminal accountability. ODM’s leaders are negotiating power and campaign arrangements with Ruto for 2027. Where are the results for citizens? Junior told me, “Just remember you are a foreigner.” My nationality answers none of these questions. Ethnic favoritism in public jobs and contracts is a route to corruption. Enforce merit and accountability now. Raila’s democratic legacy should be visible in the lives and freedoms of ordinary Kenyans. Show the results. Power corrupts. Power to the people’s government. Abolish the cartel.
