ALT Call out post reading "Manchester Protest Against Transphobia. 10am, Sunday 10th September. People's History Museum, Spinningfields. Join a coalition of LGBTQ+, feminist, and disability rights organisations in protesting against an event held bu anti-trans campaign group Sex Matters." Manchester Trans Rise Up and Manchester Disabled People Against Cuts' logos are included at the bottom.

ALT Call out post continuation: "Sex Matters have strong-armed People's History Museum into taking a booking for their organisation on the basis that having "gender critical" beliefs has been deemed a protected category in British case law. They plan on co-opting a progressive space in an attempt to legitimise their hateful, faux-feminist views. Join us in showing Sex Matters that intolerance has no place in the People's History Museum or in Manchester! Accessibility information is available on the museum's website. Bring along snacks, water, and weather appropriate clothing. Face masks are highly encouraged both for COVID safety and to protect yourself from doxxing and harrassment. Arrive and leave in groups and look out for one another. We do not welcome the SWP or any of their fronts at this event."

ALT Call out continuation: "Who are sex matters? Sex matters are an anti-trans campaign group. Their activities include: Releasing a guide for parents which promotes conversion therapy for trans and gender non-conforming children. In the guidance, trans young people are referred to as "beastly and trying to wreck everything." Sending speakers to ICONS, a conference funded by Christian fundamentalist organisations. One of these is Alliance Defending Freedom, which campaigns against LGBTQ+ and women's rights globally. Maya Forstater is Sex Matters' Executive director and co-founder. Forstater has previously promoted an article comparing trans women having preferred pronouns to the use of the date rape drug rohypnol. Helen Joyce is Sex Matters' director of advocacy. Joyce has referred to the existence of transgender people as "a huge problem for a sane world" and has called for the number of trans people to be "reduced in number.""
