.@avalaina described the horrible situation in Oleshky, where "people are eating grass." “I had multiple reports of bodies left to rot in the roads," journalist @ZarinaZabrisky said. "There are packs of wild dogs consuming the human remains." cnn.com/2026/10/23/politics/…
First Lady Melania Trump announced that she helped secure a localized ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine in the city of Oleshky to create a safe pathway for humanitarian aid and facilitate the evacuations of elderly residents. Mrs. Trump worked directly with Ukrainian and Russian leadership as the “exclusive intermediary” and initiated discussions to secure the terms of the ceasefire agreement, which begins on October 29, according to a press release from the First Lady’s office. “The people of Oleshky have limited electricity, live amid mined roads, and endure regular military attacks. It was abundantly clear that without my intervention, the possibility to bring humanitarian aid into the city and to evacuate the elderly would be impossible," Trump said in a statement.

I told the president that he must now know who restricted access to Ukraine's use of Starlink and Starshield (given it's been days), and asked who it was. He claimed he even if he did know, he wouldn't tell the media. He also said if there continues to be issues for Ukraine (Zelensky says there are) then he'll "get it straightened out"

"The mother is calling the daughter a terrible person and a liar. Everybody should be so lucky," Trump says in Iowa, explaining why he advised Ramaswamy to keep the Acton ad up. "So I told him leave it up and look upstairs and say thank you, God, very much. I appreciate it." Trump continues to ignore how Acton's stepfather was indicted by a grand jury on charges of sexually abusing her. Says he "got a call from Vivek. He said, 'What would you recommend? Because I'm getting killed in the press.'"

As @karentravers told POTUS yesterday, Acton says her mother remained married to the stepfather who sexually abused her.
President Trump strongly defends Vivek Ramaswamy’s ad featuring Amy Acton’s estranged mom. Trump: “That took a lot of courage to do but, essentially, what she was really doing was saving Ohio from making a truly horrible choice! The Press is trying to convince everyone that this Ad is bad, because it’s so good! Who wouldn’t use such an Ad? I would, it’s called, ‘hitting pay dirt.’”

President Trump now encourages Vivek Ramaswamy to keep running the ad featuring Amy Acton's estranged mother, praising her "courage" >> "I only wish the mothers of my opponents would be so brave as to come forward and explain that their son or daughter is a liar, and much worse. That took a lot of courage to do but, essentially, what she was really doing was saving Ohio from making a truly horrible choice!"

We’re roughly an hour into the president’s remarks here in SC tonight & Trump has been interrupted by at least 12 protestors so far. They’ve screamed: “F*** you!” “Traitor!” “You’re a criminal!” POTUS has brushed them off with jokes & applauded law enforcement who have been quick to rush them out

The White House Correspondents' Association strongly objects to the decision to restrict a journalist’s coverage simply because the president didn’t care for their questioning. That is retaliation. The American public's right to an independent press depends on reporters being able to do their jobs without fear that challenging the president will cut off their access. - Jacqui Heinrich, WHCA President
