We are happy to say that in consultation with Northern Health we have lifted our Water Quality Advisory this morning. We have updated our original post with this information and shared it to our website. An update to our Voyent Alert notification will be issued as well.
The Haisla Bridge Project is coming to an end, and we want to celebrate with you! The public is invited to join a special ribbon cutting event at the new bridge. Taking place June 17 at 11:00 a.m. Please park at the Riverlodge parking lot and a shuttle will pick you up.

The Kitimat water system is under a Water Quality Advisory, due to elevated turbidity in the Kitimat River. Northern Health recommends that children, pregnant women, the elderly and persons with weakened immune systems drink boiled water at this time.

District of Kitimat offices and facilities will be closed on April 7 and on April 10 to mark the Good Friday and Easter Monday holiday. Riverlodge and Tamitik Sports Complex, which includes the Aquatic Centre, will be open for regular hours on April 8 and 9.
Today's the day! We incorporated as a community 70 years ago March 31. We're celebrating in the Lower City Centre Mall here with a museum pop-up display with light refreshments. Stop by starting at noon. The Mayor will be around to say hi too!
