Under Minnesota Statute 103F, all public waters in Minnesota are required to have a 50 foot buffer of perennial vegetation and a 16.5 foot buffer along ditches.
To assist land owners with maintaining compliance, the Kittson SWCD has a Truax no-till drill available for rent.
As April showers bring May flowers they can also bring concerns about erosion and water quality.
The Kittson SWCD offers 75% cost sharing on most erosion control and water quality practices.

Kittson SWCD has a Truax no-till drill available for rent.
Rental rates are $15 an acre plus a non-refundable drop charge of $75 for in-county rentals. This drop charge includes the 1 acre minimum charge.
