James Wiseman’s NBA story isn’t over yet 👀
The former No. 2 overall pick came into the league with massive expectations, but his career has taken a lot of turns:
🔸 No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft
🔸Missed '21-22 season after tearing meniscus
🔸Sent to G-League during his comeback
🔸Traded to Pistons in 2023
🔸Signed with Pacers in 2024
🔸Tore his Achilles in first game of season
🔸Played for Team USA in World Cup qualifying
🔸Traded to Raptors and got waived
🔸Returned to Pacers and got waived
🔸Came back to Pacers on 10-day deal
🔸Signed with the Knicks in 2026
Now he gets a different kind of opportunity.
Not on a rebuilding team or a team asking him to save the franchise.
But on the defending champs.
The Knicks lost Mitchell Robinson, then answered by bringing in Andre Drummond and taking a swing on Wiseman too.
New York doesn’t need James Wiseman to be a star.
They just need him to contribute.
And that's EXACTLY what he did in a blowout win vs. Bulls as the Knicks are easing him into the rotation:
🔸 10 minutes
🔸 8 points
🔸 8 rebounds
🔸 3 blocks
Keep an eye on James Wiseman.
He's somehow still only 25 years old...
And he's still writing his story 🍿

Dalton Knecht made his Knicks debut against the Bulls and made every minute count.
Now he needs to keep that momentum going and show New York what he can bring. 🗽🔥

Mike Brown on Dalton Knecht:
“He’s a scorer. He’s not just a shooter. A lot of people think he’s a shooter because he’s white.”
“I hope I don’t get in trouble.”
Then Brown got back to the basketball:
“He can go get it.”

He has the highest scoring quarter of any player in the league this year. It's also the 3rd highest scoring quarter of his career, per @Stathead.
