Why Do We Downplay Someoneโs Pain?
Pain is a form of discomfort we experience at different stages of our lives. This discomfort could be physical, mental, spiritual, financial or emotional. Regardless of the type of pain we experience, its effects matter.
What is the logic behind downplaying other people's pain simply because you have had a similar experience?
Pain is what it is; a discomfort you don't necessarily have to understand to acknowledge in another person.
No one rewards people for experiencing more or less pain because pain is a special add-on that comes with a full subscription to life at birth๐
In @KikelomoSowore's words, "Pain is not a feeling of competition between people where someone wins the Pain d'Or."
In other words, there is nothing to compete for because neither 'U' nor 'E' will be rewarded with the first spot in the QUEUE simply for appearing twice๐
Do not define pain for others. Pain is what the person says it is.
