I read this over Shabbos.
As with everything by Rabbi Hayyim Angel, this book is full of insights, scholarly yet accessible, and well written.
I highly recommend it for those interested in learning about the Psalmist’s views on reward & punishment, nature & revelation, faith & crisis, etc.
There are also some great chapters on peculiarities and literary devices in Psalms, such as redundancies, acrostics (including broken acrostic in Psalm 9/10), and transitions.
My only critique is that it’s too short. It left me wanting more, especially re: Psalms 23, 34, 35, 87, 100, 119, 134, 144, and 150. I hope @KodeshPress will consider a sequel!

This book is for every Jewish woman, kallah teacher, Rebbetzin, and mother. Wherever you are in life: single, married, pre- or post-menopausal, observant or just curious, everyone has a place in this learning.
It addresses the emotions, philosophy, and psychology surrounding the practice of niddah, and it includes extensive primary sources in Hebrew and English so it can be used for casual reading or in-depth study.
Gently following the familiar structure of kallah classes, she combines a passion for halachic integrity with an equal commitment to women’s health and inspired Jewish observance.
In this volume, Ariella Zirkind – experienced kallah teacher and rebbetzin – shows how niddah is woven into the fabric of Jewish life and other mitzvot.
While niddah is central to a Jewish woman's life, too often we teach it as an isolated mitzvah, missing the broader context, leaving women with an understanding of how to observe the mitzvah but with very limited knowledge of its deeper meaning.
