Top tennis. Not an easy draw but Zizou performed well. Every set decided by one break. Keep up Zizou, level is there!

R1 ATP Basel @ZizouBergs vs Hubert Hurkacz 6-3, 3-6, 4-6 Frustrating. Zizou played/served (14 aces) very well until 3-4 in the 2nd, lost that close game (from 40-0), had 2 break points in the next game but saw Hubi run away with the set. Great level from both. So close.

R4 ATP Shanghai @ZizouBergs vs Tommy Paul 6-7, 4-6 Could have been another match/score if Zizou had taken 1 of those 5 break points at 5-5. Almost came back from 0-4 in the 2nd but Paul stayed strong/was a bit lucky. Top level from Zizou this week. Back on the right track

Interesting. Exactly the part where Zizou has worked on: the service

carlos alcaraz has mostly escaped from his own serve the past few weeks by using his outstanding first-serve return. unfortunately for him, zizou bergs was serving like a demon in shanghai monday night nytimes.com/athletic/7683747…
