I didn’t think it was possible to combine primary-loser-sour-grapes & Islamophobia into a more toxic cocktail than Andrew Cuomo. But Haley Stevens has managed to do it. If she wants to betray civil rights, reproductive freedom, immigrant protections, and working families by endorsing Mike Rogers and trying to give control of the Senate to J.D. Vance and Donald Trump, I guess that's her business — but it’s appalling, oddly patronizing, and simply false to claim that it’s in the interest of Michigan’s Jewish communities. Our safety comes from welcoming the stranger, fighting for universal human rights, and building pluralist democracy — not from endorsing neo-Nazi adjacent MAGA fanatics. Fortunately, there’s a powerful response of solidarity and shared safety, that every Jewish & non-Jewish Michigander can do on Tuesday: Vote for @AbdulElSayed

Breaking my own rule and writing a Twitter essay... Two days before the midterms, Haley Stevens, the beneficiary of AIPAC’s record-setting $30 million in her primary, appeared with Republican Senate nominee Mike Rogers at Perfecting Church in Detroit where she claimed that Rogers would “take on” investing in Black-owned businesses. She then endorsed him. This attempted ratfuck is galling for any number of reasons, but what disgusts me most is the willingness of these genocidal white politicians to use Black voters as human shields for their racism against Abdul El-Sayed. Rogers has run one of the most racist Senate campaigns this century, and yet, Stevens is now climbing aboard while ostensibly professing concern for Black voters. This is an instructive moment in understanding why Zionists must be purged from the party: as believers in a supremacist project themselves, they view Black voters as a faction to be weaponized, not as constituents who deserve genuine representation. They are saboteurs in the broader fight for racial justice. A belief in an ethnostate sustained through apartheid, force, genocide, and domination is fundamentally incompatible with an anti-fascist, anti-racist coalition. Good luck browbeating the Democratic electorate into supporting some pro-Israel corporate centrist in the 2028 presidential election after this saga.

Two Michigan elected officials, both men of color, have come out today sharing how Haley Stevens has personally tried to discredit, vilify, and threaten them. Clearly, this is a pattern for her.

I want to thank Haley Stevens for so succinctly destroying every centrist talking point that's been rammed down our throats for the last 6 months.

They used to just play shows like this on broadcast tv

Feeling very vindicated rn after so many centrists said Haley Stevens wasn't a deep state ghoul and was the safest choice. Turns out she's just an AIPAC funded Republican.
I am endorsing Mike Rogers for the United States Senate today.

So in the last 48 hours Jill Stein’s VP has endorsed a national 16 week abortion ban and revealed he’s transphobic. This is the “super progressive” third party option y’all are trying to convince me we should get behind. Be so serious.

Ok jilly, but like I told you when we met in 08, none of this matters if you aren’t building a sustainable movement. We cannot live on protest/symbolic votes alone. We need people in positions of power from the school board to the White House. Where are the people you’ve lifted?
Hey y’all, this is a little spicy but I had thoughts about @AOC calling me and the Green Party “not authentic” and “predatory.”

Myself and other queer researchers an practitioners have been working on a position statement for a national org. We received feedback today that was hurtful and made broad assumptions about team membership, stating that the statement was “cis-het washed” and that …

It should be given another try with “OUR PEOPLE” involved (referring to queer folks) and getting the final say. They ended by asking for writers with lived experience. Why do people make broad assumptions about others within the psychology space? They knew nothing about-
