Tak for tippet, jeg læste faktisk artiklen. Det gør man jo nogle gange.
Yachten tilhører Khoroshkovskyi. Vicepremierminister under Janukovitj, altså Putins mand i Kyiv, for over ti år siden. Han tjente kassen på tv-kanaler, som han solgte i 2013. Og nu sælger han båden. Sælger. Ikke køber.
Also: Russerne ejer omkring 370 superyachter. Ukrainerne en håndfuld. En af dem tilhører Medvedchuk, Putins bedste ven, og den ligger beslaglagt i Kroatien, mens Ukraine prøver at sælge den.
Jeg synes du skal invitere alle de danskere du kender, der ikke har råd til at handle ind, til en offentlig debat. Jeg glæder mig til at høre, hvordan prorussiske Khoroshkovskyis bådsalg påvirker deres indkøb.

I was usually the ONLY WOMAN in my convoy in Afghanistan. Not only was I a military police team leader, I was the one who searched the Afghan women.
Those women told me things their husbands never would. They also told me things they wouldn't tell their husbands. They let me hold their babies and talk to their kids. These women had NO voice in that country. No rights. They were men's property.
40 months in a Muslim country taught me this: Sharia doesn't "coexist." It TAKES. And here in the USA, it will take from women FIRST.
Ladies, it starts with your voice. DO NOT hand it over. It wasn't very long ago at all that we fought for and WON our freedom here in America. We owe it to our daughters not to go backwards. 🇺🇸🪖

Vi har allerede en sikkerhetstruktur, politisk om militært.
Pre-2022 var Europas i tillegg militært sterkt nedkjørt i tillegg til små lagre og utadatert teknologisk og strategisk.
Europa hadde også flere traktater med russland om våpenkontroll, nedrustning og Open Skies. Det var regelmessige møter mellom europeiske land, EU og NATO. russland fikk endog holde en egen permanent militærkommisjon i NATOs hovedkvarter (måtte avsluttes da medlemer gjentatte ganger ble tatt med klassifiserte NATO-dokumenter).
Ad notam. Norge hadde egen policy for nordområdepolitikk med Russland. Kulturutveksling, fiskerisamarbeid, avspenning og næringsutvikling.
Momentet om at russland trenger sikkerhetsgarantier er odd. NATO eller europeiske land har ikke truet russland. Snarere burde russland sett seg fornøyd med den militære degraderingen samt fragmentert sikkerhetspolitikk og lav evne til egen forsvarsproduksjon som fant sted i Europa frem til 2014/2022.

Ukraine was betrayed by both Democrats and Republicans.
Recently, Obama said that Trump “betrayed Ukraine.” He should definitely look in the mirror first.
I remember very well what happened in 2014, when Ukraine was attacked by russia and Crimea was annexed. What did Obama do? Nothing! Even worse, he heavily pressured Ukraine’s government not to resist the russian military invasion of Crimea. He also refused to send U.S. defensive weapons to Ukraine.
But he did provide blankets to Ukrainian troops instead. And yes, he imposed some laughable sanctions.
And guess who actually reversed that policy? Yes, Trump. Of course, he did it not out of the goodness of his heart, but rather because he was pressured to do so. Still, he gave Ukraine Javelins.
Obama’s response to russia’s aggression against Georgia was even more despicable. Soon after, he basically ceded Syria to Putin. And all of this under the so-called “reset policy” with russia. So Obama should be the last person to ever mention “betrayal.”
What about Biden? Well, please remember that the Biden administration (Burns, Sullivan, Blinken) actively pressured Ukraine not to attack oil refineries in russia. U.S. officials even accused Ukraine of potentially committing “war crimes” by striking russian oil infrastructure.
Why am I saying this now?
I don’t want Ukrainians to have any illusions about Democrats controlling Congress. I do think they will be better than Trump. It is very unlikely that they will side with Putin as Trump did. But given the history, my hopes are not high.

We are not inviting Putin to Kyiv. They came to us without an invitation in 2022. But that’s not why there’s no point in inviting Putin to Kyiv. It’s because he won’t come. The same goes for inviting me to Moscow. What Russia is doing is destructive. It’s simply spitting in the face of the whole world that wants this war to end. That’s why no one will support going to Moscow.
As for a phone call, Russia will use it as an excuse to avoid any further meetings. And we understand this game. It leads nowhere. It would just be a very formal, dry phone conversation where I would once again have to listen to a history lecture from the leader of the Russian Federation, rather than hear about real steps to actually end the war.
If we want to end the war, we have to meet and take the first step: a ceasefire.

On Monday, November 9, I will stand in the German Bundestag alongside some of the bravest women I know.
Women from Iran, Afghanistan, Belarus, Cuba, Venezuela, Cameroon, Hong Kong, and other places where dictatorships have tried to silence them.
For years, politicians have spoken about these women. Now, these women will take the podium, and politicians will listen.
This has been my dream: to build a global women’s movement led by survivors of prison, torture, persecution, and repression. Women who have lost so much but never surrendered.
And now, that dream is becoming reality.
The story behind our first Freedom and Security Women Summit is deeply personal.
Last year, Julia Klöckner, President of the German Bundestag, approached me after hearing my speech about women in Iran and Afghanistan. She promised to support us.
I laughed and told her, “Many politicians have made promises to me. Most never kept them!”
But Julia proved to be a woman of action.
One conversation led to another. And what began as a dream is now becoming an international gathering inside the German Parliament.
I am nervous. I am emotional. But above all, I am incredibly proud of these women and everyone who has worked behind the scenes to make this possible.
A heartfelt thank you to @sed_opferbeauftragte, Germany’s Federal Commissioner for the Victims of the SED Dictatorship, for hosting us, and to the Bundestag, Axel Springer Freedom Foundation, Frauen für Freiheit, and all the courageous dissidents and allies who made this possible.

Russland har allerede inngått en rekke fredsavtaler med Ukraina, som de bryter når det passer Kreml.
Russland vil aldri gå med på en fredsavtale som garanterer Ukrainas fremtid som et fritt og selvstendig land.
Nettopp. Hvorfor er det i det hele tatt noen som tror på at en forhandlet fredsavtale, med Russland, vil bli overholdt denne gangen?

Umar repeatedly asks Muhammad that Allah should reveal verses for the Qur'an pertaining to the veiling of women.
Now even the Sahabah accused him of stealing and this story made it to the Quran.
Umar follows Muhammad's wives one night when they go out to relieve themselves (go to the toilet) and calls out to Muhammad's wife Sauda.
Sauda goes home in a state of embarrassment and relates to Muhammad what has happened.
Allah then reveals the hijab verse as Umar had wanted all along.

Umar later bragged that not once but at least three times, Allah said exactly what Umar wanted him to say! Hard to guess if he was so stupid not to realise how the game was being played.
