Ruben Neves on Diogo Jota 💔
“I still talk to him. Few people know this. We have a WhatsApp group with Rute and Diogo, and it's still there, and we continue to talk there. Whenever something special happens, I have the conversations archived on my WhatsApp so I can continue to send him messages”
“It was very difficult. The day after the news, for me, is the most difficult day of my life. The most important aspect for me to be able to play was wanting to play for Diogo first”

🎙️ Iraola: "I think the bench is going to be very important. A lot of games are decided in second halves and we have good options on the bench."
🎙️ Iraola on the team selection: "A lot of the players are waiting for this competition to have their starts and minutes. They are pushing hard.

🚨 Mac Allister has been informed of Liverpool’s intention to reshape its squad.
Liverpool are preparing a midfield overhaul for the summer of 2027 and currently have no plans to offer Mac Allister a new contract. His representatives have already begun exploring options, particularly in Spain and Italy.
Mac Allister would prefer to stay, but Liverpool's heavy investment in his position and reluctance to extend his deal have prompted his representatives to explore alternatives.

✍️ @SamJDean on Ngumoha's move to Liverpool
This was not simply a case of Liverpool attracting Ngumoha. At the same time as Liverpool were making their interest clear, Chelsea were inadvertently driving him away.
It is understood that interested clubs were made aware of frustrations within Ngumoha’s camp that Chelsea were prioritising incoming players rather than the homegrown talents they already had in the academy.
ℹ️ Liverpool to host Lens without away fans
Lens fans have been banned from buying tickets for their Champions League trip to Liverpool in January after throwing flares towards Club Brugge fans during their European game last week.
The French side's supporters will be banned from travelling to Anfield as well as their trip to RB Leipzig next month, while the club has also been fined €80,000.

✍️ More than two years have passed since Rio Ngumoha chose to leave Chelsea for Liverpool, but the frustration remains at Stamford Bridge. The pain of losing a player of Ngumoha’s potential does not pass quickly, especially as the winger was part of Chelsea’s academy system for eight years. It must sting to see a London boy, one of their own, now delighting the Anfield crowd.
