It’s the people’s final veto on government power. The men who wrote it had just finished a war against their own government. They weren’t naïve. They understood that rights written on paper are only as secure as the means to defend them.
An unarmed population doesn’t negotiate. It petitions. And petitions can be ignored.

She had heard this was where they would be staying, but she still did not understand why they had been forced to leave Sugar Crown Beach Resort at all.
She had been enjoying Zero Bark Thirty’s attention right up until the moment he was suddenly whisked away from her. Bitty had always believed she was perfectly safe. She did not feel particularly cooperative about any of this. Unfortunately, that choice had already been made for her, and she was not okay with it. She was now stranded with no compass.
She planned to express her irritation to Billy at the earliest opportunity.
Now she stood in the lobby with Manny, Bear, and Rory—Jet’s brothers—but Jet himself was nowhere in sight. No matter. She would figure this out, along with everything else, and get out of here as soon as possible. 🐱✨🌌

For the record, NO ONE has worked harder to grow the Republican Party or the America First movement than Scott Presler. He’s far too kind and humble a guy to say it. But it’s true. I’ve seen it firsthand for a decade.
America First — or at least the movement that so many of us believed in since 2015 — and still do — was about uniting Americans around a common purpose and propelling our country toward our potential. Not imposing ideological purity tests or turning identity politics into a spectator sport to chase clout and farm engagement.
While all the haters, losers and grifters of the world cry on social media about who belongs in the movement, Scott and @EarlyVoteAction will still be out there every single day doing the actual work to grow it.
That’s the difference. And what a shame it is that even has to be said.
