Also, Pallet Restaurant used to hire servers with hearing disabilities. All those people likely lost their jobs. In a country with limited opportunities for its disabled citizens, establishments like Pallet should be safeguarded but nooo! 🤦🏾♀️😤😤
Almost 20 trees were murdered in Lavington’s former Pallet Restaurant to make way for a petroleum station while their are 2 other petrol stations 50 meters apart on the opposite side of the roads @NemaKenya sleeping on the job.

THE GOVERNOR should stop with his lies. In this City you cannot even build a dog kennel without County officers showing up to arrest you let alone a 16 storey building. He should have fired the entire of his planning and enforcement team by now yet he is still here issuing pressers.

This is over a year of continuous construction happening in broad daylight that The County was unable to see???
And yet you can't even paint your house without them pulling up.
Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja says the multi-storey building that collapsed along 9th Street in Eastleigh was under construction without the required approvals, despite an application for a 15-storey building with a basement having been submitted.
Sakaja says the county has forwarded documentation to the DCI for investigations and called for accountability among the developer and professionals involved, including the architect and engineer on record.
Exactly. Hata jaribu ku-trim fence/hedge… but they somehow missed construction of a whole multiple storey building.

I say this without apology that @NemaKenya is useless and nothing but a waste of taxpayers money! I *PERSONALLY* have complained to them severally about building violations in Kilimani (even with video evidence) and have never once received a response or seen any action taken. 👎🏾
AND WHERE is NEMA @NemaKenya. More than 24hrs after the Eastleigh building collapse and they are yet to speak on this matter despite being a key part of the agencies that supervise the sector. The developer submitted their approval to obtain an NCA licence. Where are they to clarify this?

I can’t stand this man @SakajaJohnson. You can’t even cut a tree in your home or do external repairs to your single dwelling house without County officials immediately appearing. It’s like they have spies! But an 18-storey building was under construction without their knowledge?
