The #GCC Ambassadors in Brussels met today to exchange views on the latest developments in the region.
The meeting also focused on the preparations for the 2nd Gulf Cooperation Council -European Union Summit, to take place in #Riyadh next month.
The meeting strongly condemned the Houthi militia’s attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in the Kingdom of #SaudiArabia 🇸🇦, in flagrant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and of international law and international humanitarian law.

تُعرب وزارة الخارجية عن ترحيب دولة الكويت بقراري مملكة هولندا ومملكة بلجيكا الصديقتين، القاضيين بحظر استيراد منتجات المستوطنات الإسرائيلية، وتعدّهما خطوةً مهمةً تنسجم مع قرارات الشرعية الدولية ذات الصلة، ولا سيما قرار مجلس الأمن رقم 2334 لعام 2016، والرأي الاستشاري لمحكمة العدل الدولية الصادر في 19 يوليو 2024، بشأن عدم شرعية الاستيطان في الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة.
وتثمّن الوزارة موقف الحكومتين الهولندية والبلجيكية، المنسجم مع أحكام القانون الدولي، وتشدد على ضرورة اضطلاع المجتمع الدولي ومجلس الأمن بمسؤولياتهما في التصدي للسياسة الاستيطانية للاحتلال الإسرائيلي، التي تقوّض فرص تحقيق السلام.
وتجدد الوزارة موقف دولة الكويت الثابت والداعم لحقوق الشعب الفلسطيني المشروعة، وفي مقدمتها إقامة دولته المستقلة على حدود عام 1967، وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية.

At the 3rd GCC–EU High-Level Forum, Deputy FM Hamad Al-Mashaan reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to deeper GCC–EU cooperation, highlighted the importance of a firm response to violations against GCC states, & praised the EU’s support for regional peace, security & stability. 🇰🇼🤝🇪🇺
شارك سعادة السفير حمد سليمان المشعان، نائب وزير الخارجية، في أعمال المنتدى الثالث رفيع المستوى حول الأمن والتعاون الإقليمي بين مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية والاتحاد الأوروبي، الذي عُقد في بروكسل اليوم الاثنين الموافق 13 يوليو 2026.
وأكد سعادة نائب الوزير أن المنتدى في نسخته الثالثة يأتي استكمالاً لمخرجات النسخة الثانية التي استضافتها دولة الكويت في أكتوبر 2025.
كما أشار إلى أن الاعتداءات الإيرانية الآثمة التي تعرضت لها دولة الكويت ودول مجلس التعاون تستوجب وقفة جادة إزاء تلك الانتهاكات، مثمناً تضامن الاتحاد الأوروبي ودوله الأعضاء مع دول المجلس.
واختتم كلمته بالتطلع إلى الارتقاء بالشراكة بين مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية والاتحاد الأوروبي، مشيداً بدور الاتحاد الأوروبي، بوصفه شريكاً استراتيجياً لمجلس التعاون، في دعم الأمن والاستقرار الإقليميين.

🇰🇼 Over the past few months, Kuwait’s Foreign Minister H.E. Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and I have spoken often by phone. Yesterday, on the margins of the @NATO Summit where we also met our Gulf partners, we finally sat down face to face and discovered that we share the same birthday 😉.
In a Gulf that carries ever more weight on the world stage, good diplomacy means letting your choices follow the world as it shifts. With Kuwait, there’s real momentum to build on. The mark of sound diplomacy is the willingness to adapt and everything today calls for us to invest further in this relationship.
We’re working on a concrete roadmap to deepen our cooperation and turn that momentum into lasting results. I look forward to carrying this work forward in Kuwait itself, where I intend to travel in November.

ترأس معالي الشيخ جراح جابر الأحمد الصباح، وزير الخارجية، اليوم الثلاثاء الموافق 7 يوليو 2026، وفد دولة الكويت المشارك في الاجتماع الوزاري لدول مبادرة إسطنبول للتعاون والدول الأعضاء في حلف شمال الأطلسي المنعقد على هامش أعمال قمة حلف شمال الأطلسي في العاصمة التركية أنقرة.
وألقى معاليه كلمة في الاجتماع، أكد خلالها حرص دولة الكويت على تعزيز العمل المشترك مع حلف شمال الأطلسي في إطار مبادرة إسطنبول للتعاون، لمواجهة التحديات الراهنة والناشئة في المنطقة، واستكشاف مجالات تعاون جديدة، مشيراً إلى أن استضافة دولة الكويت للمركز الإقليمي لحلف شمال الأطلسي ومبادرة إسطنبول للتعاون تجسد متانة الشراكة القائمة بين الجانبين والتزامهما بالتنسيق والتشاور والحوار البنّاء.
واستذكر معاليه رعاية ومشاركة سمو ولي العهد الشيخ صباح خالد الحمد الصباح، حفظه الله، في احتفالية الذكرى الـ 20 لتأسيس مبادرة إسطنبول للتعاون، التي أقيمت في سبتمبر 2024 على هامش أعمال الأسبوع رفيع المستوى للدورة الـ 79 للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة في مدينة نيويورك، كما أشار إلى إطلاق الجولة الأولى من الحوار السياسي والأمني بين دولة الكويت وحلف شمال الأطلسي في يناير 2026، تأكيداً على حرص الجانبين على تعزيز التعاون المشترك.
وفيما يتعلق بالتطورات الإقليمية، جدد معاليه إدانة دولة الكويت للعدوان الإيراني الآثم الذي استهدف البلاد ومنشآتها المدنية والحيوية، في انتهاكٍ صارخٍ لسيادة دولة الكويت، وخرقٍ فاضحٍ للقانون الدولي ولقرار مجلس الأمن رقم 2817.
وأكد معاليه ترحيب دولة الكويت بمذكرة التفاهم المبرمة بين الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية والجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية، مثمناً جهود الوساطة التي بذلت من قبل دولة قطر الشقيقة وجمهورية باكستان الإسلامية في هذا السياق، معرباً عن تطلع دولة الكويت إلى أن تسهم مذكرة التفاهم في تعزيز الأمن والاستقرار الإقليميين عبر حوار يعالج شواغل دول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية، وفي مقدمتها التزام إيران بمبادئ حسن الجوار، والتصدي لأنشطة وكلائها وبرامجها الصاروخية والطائرات المسيّرة، وضمان أمن الملاحة في مضيق هرمز، والطابع السلمي لبرنامجها النووي، وعدم استخدام الأصول الإيرانية المفرج عنها في أنشطة تزعزع استقرار المنطقة.
وفي ختام كلمته، دعا معاليه إلى عقد اجتماع وزاري مشترك بين دول مبادرة إسطنبول للتعاون والدول الأعضاء في حلف شمال الأطلسي في دولة الكويت خلال عام 2027، بما يسهم في مواصلة الجهود بصورة جماعية لتحقيق الأهداف المشتركة وتعزيز الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة وخارجها.
