1) both Wave, but especially Lime, are the operators with the most experience and deepest operations in Auckland. They’ve built up solid businesses over the last 12 months. Lime has 1500+ scooters, while Wave has 250+, along with charger employment, warehouses and admin staff.

Absolutely gutted to get the news this morning that our permit has not been renewed in Auckland. It feels like a very unfortunate decisions for our city.

So @AklCouncil has revoked @limebike’s and Wave scooters permits today. I think this was a short sighted and counterproductive decision. Let me outline why:
