In 1994, in referring to Russia as a "responsible party" the U.S. agreed to support the territorial integrity of Ukraine in the event that Russia should seek to sieze, occupy or otherwise invade Ukrainian territory, further citing that event as "hypothetical" as "not probable." In exchange for guarantees such as this, Ukraine agreed to give up one of the world's largest nuclear arsenals.

President Trump has blamed Ukraine’s strikes on Russian refineries for rising diesel prices in the US. President Zelensky says Ukraine hits Russian diesel because Russia hits Ukrainian power plants. He says he has repeatedly asked Trump to broker an energy ceasefire, and that Putin is the one refusing it.

⚡️Trump pressures President Zelenskyy over strikes on Russian oil refineries, yet refrains from applying similar leverage to Putin. Meanwhile, Ukraine urgently needs US air defense systems and missiles to protect its energy infrastructure from Russian attacks. @StevenBartlett, The Diary Of A CEO

What do you say to your family when you don’t know if you’ll ever see them again? In February 2022, he told his wife and children the war had begun. Then he left as Russian forces advanced towards Kyiv, unsure what the coming hours would bring. This is President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Before politics, he built a successful career in Ukrainian television as a writer, producer and performer, even portraying a president on screen. In 2019, he was elected President of Ukraine. Three years later, Russia launched its full-scale invasion. Sitting down with him was surreal and an enormous responsibility. It was a rare chance to hear his account of the first hours of the war and the decisions that followed. We discussed things like: How he found out Russia had invaded. Why he refused an offer to evacuate Kyiv. The 64km Russian military convoy advancing towards the capital. How Russian forces tried to capture a key airport. His account of discovering hundreds of bodies after Russian occupation. What he believes it will take to end the war. But I also wanted to understand how he’d been coping. One of my first questions was simply, “How are you doing?” His answer was: “It’s hard.” He spoke about meeting parents whose children had been killed. Some, he explained, simply ask him for a hug. And as he spoke, there were tears in his eyes. Whatever your views on the war or the decisions made by those involved, this is a rare opportunity to hear his account of events that have changed millions of lives. Because behind every map, every headline and every political decision, there are real people. Out now on all platforms ❤️👊🏾 (President Zelenskyy was recorded in Ukrainian and dubbed in English.)

Steve Witkoff called Putin "a humanitarian." This week that "humanitarian" killed one-year-old Angelina and her mother, Inna, among many other civilians. The baby was in her stroller when a Russian drone struck a park. Is this a "humanitarian mission", @SteveWitkoff?

Dear @StephenKing, your book The Outsider helped a Ukrainian soldier survive after 491 days on the frontline. Kostiantyn Vlasenko lost both feet after a Russian drone attack, and was trapped at his position. He even had to cut off one of his legs himself. His wife sent him your book to help him cope, knowing how much he loved your stories.

His fellow soldiers delivered it by drone, along with food and other supplies, to help him endure the isolation. Eventually, Ukraine rescued Kostiantyn. He made history as the first person to be evacuated from a war-zone with a flying drone, as Russian UAVs and landmines made a conventional rescue impossible.

The current U.S. effort to weaken Ukraine’s defenses, likely aimed at enabling Russia to kill enough Ukrainians to then force our President into signing a sham peace agreement that Moscow will inevitably and immediately violate after America’s midterm elections, represents one of the darkest chapters in American history. Russians have been heavily exploiting the newly imposed restrictions on Ukraine’s Starlink capabilities, which have hobbled our nation's ability to intercept Russian jet-powered drones. Now, among the many massacres being committed by them across our country, Russians are hunting civilian vehicles in Kyiv. This morning, in this attack alone, three people were killed and six injured, including three children.

One-year-old Angelina was killed by a Russian drone in her stroller. Yet, @elonmusk sees no problem with restricting Starlink for Ukrainian defenders who shoot down these drones. Everyone who appeases Russia is their accomplice in this war!

Russia killed a baby in a stroller, three more children and two women with one strike near Kharkiv. Russian drone hit a playground in the middle of the day. 14 people were injured, including 7 kids. Everyone who strikes deals with Russia and keeps on bankrolling its war machine has the blood of these people on their hands.

The USA is repeating its fatal mistake. In the 1930s, Washington kept trading oil and scrap metal with Imperial Japan, hoping to prevent conflict. That illusion ended in the flames of Pearl Harbor. Today, cheap fuel deals with Russia offer the same trap: short-term economic relief in exchange for funding an aggressor’s long-term war machine.

Four people have been killed in Kyiv today after another Russian attack. One missile struck a nine-story residential building, while all three of Kyiv’s major combined heat and power plants came under attack. This is the price of making deals and bargaining with an aggressor. Putin has no intention of honoring even an energy ceasefire, let alone ending his war. Appeasing an aggressor does not bring peace. It only emboldens him.

Putin thanked Trump for easing restrictions on Russian fuel exports by killing 17 people in Zaporizhzhia, including three children. Every dollar Russia earns helps bankroll the Kremlin's war machine — more missiles, more drones, more terror against Ukrainians Easing pressure on Russia doesn't bring peace. It fuels the war.
