someone launched a 5x short $AMD token on koturo this morning. first new launch since oct 12, and it's not a long, it's a levered short, with the creator taking a 25% cut of fees.
users keep building sharper products than the issuers. what single-stock bet would you lever up, long or short?
i was option b. i had a 3ds.
anyway, that’s why i built a place where your option c gets a ticker
koturo
in 2016 you had $1,000 and three options:
a) fidget spinners
b) a 3DS
c) tesla, googl & amazon
backtest of option c: $15,217
$ROBUTS is that basket as one token. you can buy it today, or launch your own version of option c 👇
earnings season thought experiment:
take every great company that just posted a weak quarter. google, amazon, intel, etc
throw them in a basket and hold till dec 31
genius contrarian play or financially documented self harm
any brave soul want to launch it? 👀
you can launch it here in like 5 min, pick the stocks, set the %, done: koturo.xyz
more than half of xstocks volume happens while the market is closed
baskets on koturo with xstocks in their vault trade around the clock. that’s the point
I think this can be taken even further to create new financial instruments using tokenized equities
What if you split tokenized $AMZN to isolate for AWS earnings only?
Or what if you split tokenized $DIS to isolate for Disney Sports (which is essentially ESPN)?
Or what if you split tokenized $UBER to isolate for Freight revenue only?
Tokenized equities smashes the door open
$AMZN owns a robotaxi company (zoox). here's why they can't charge users for rides outside las vegas:
zoox has ~100 cars and no steering wheels, so it needed a federal exemption just to charge fares. got it in july. paid rides in vegas since august
san francisco is still free. california wants two state permits first, dmv and cpuc, and zoox doesn't have them
waymo does 500k paid rides a week
amazon earnings tomorrow and nobody will ask about any of it. the robotics race has a scoreboard, it just isn't in the press release
the mechanics behind it: zoox's car has no steering wheel or pedals, so NHTSA had to exempt it from 8 federal safety standards (granted July 30, up to 2,500 cars a year) before paid rides were legal anywhere. But a federal exemption isn't a California authorization. SF rides stay free until the DMV deployment permit and CPUC commercial permit land.
one token means one earnings call can wreck you. a basket means the bad quarter is just a weight.

Robinhood reports today after markets close.
$HOODx trades 24/7 tokenized by xStocks.

your portfolio as a token on @koturoxyz: you earn a cut every time someone buys it
seems like a no-brainer to me
agents won't juggle 30 single-stock tokens. they'll hold baskets: one asset, set weights, redeemable underneath. programmable portfolios beat programmable receipts. that's the layer we're building @koturoxyz
AI agents can only put money to work if the assets and the dollars are programmable. Tokenized assets and stablecoins provide both, on one open ledger.
Securitize CEO @carlosdomingo joined @scottmelker to explain why he expects AI and tokenization to converge.
the token supercycle isn't one stock onchain. it's all of them. and when everything's tradable, access stops being the edge. selection is.
that's when baskets eat.
etfs are built for the median investor. the interesting launches on koturo are built for custom audiences. when launching costs nothing, indexes get personal. whose book would you tokenize?
$2.5B in a quarter and it's still concentrated in a handful of single wrappers. everyone buys the same few names one by one. a basket token spreads it in one move.
why are we still buying stocks one at a time?
a tokenized stock by itself is just a receipt. it proves you own something, then it sits there. a basket token works while you hold it: set weights, redeemable for the stocks inside. why settle for the receipt?
Tokenized stocks, bonds, real estate and money market funds aren’t the real story.
Putting an asset onchain is the easy part.
The real story is what that asset can do once it’s there.
Trade beyond market hours. Move between wallets. Plug into DeFi. Serve as collateral across platforms.
An asset that only represents value is a receipt.
An asset that can be programmed is infrastructure.
Most tokenized assets still face transfer restrictions that limit these possibilities.
That’s the gap worth watching.
The winners in RWA won’t just tokenize assets. They’ll make those assets usable across financial markets.
this is the actual problem. five wrappers for one stock. the fix isn't a sixth wrapper, it's one basket token for the whole theme
$ROBUTS is AMZN + GOOGL + TSLA in a single token. why are we still making people pick wrappers?
Tokenized equities are so fragmented by issuers and liquidity.
One company (E.g., NVDA) can have 5+ wrappers , each with different underlying structure , trading hours and live on different chains.
If I traded stock and wanted to buy a tokenized stock onchain, I would find it confusing too.
We still have a lot of room to improve.
