God is setting you up. Get prepared. Get into your field, master it and after that, know what you are going to do there. Because the motion has already been set. It has already been rolled out. #ProphetElvisMbonye
You can't be there and not be seeing airplanes, mass takeovers, mass increases and multiplications, those are things which cannot be seen. By virtue of the nature that you are, you are supposed to be seeing things, every day, something that you're actually seeing, and I'm talking about the things which cannot be seen, because it shifts your focus from the things which are seen. #ProphetElvisMbonye

“YOU WERE NOT PLACED IN THAT FIELD TO BE SCHOOLED BY IT, BUT TO SCHOOL THOSE WHO ARE IN IT!”
At today’s fellowship, Prophet Elvis Mbonye revealed a profound Kingdom truth: your greatest battles may not be what is happening around you, but how you interpret it.
Affliction can produce glory. What looks like loss can conceal gain. And what you cannot yet see may be more real than what you see.
“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen.” — 2 Corinthians 4:18

We don’t negotiate with the devil over here. If you’ve chosen to treat our God and everything that represents Him with disdain, we shall treat you with the same disdain.

Our Catholic friends here mash me up 😂
They speak ill, give derogatory comments about the pastors in Uganda but they are first in line for HC and "What God cannot do, doesn't exist" services. The body of Christ is one & the same
If you're not being hypocritical, awo simanyi 😂

It's about high time for resilience to be inbuilt within the network. Unfortunately these things don't come cheap & the regulator was always unwilling to allow UMEME to invest in a sturdy network for fear of high costs. Now that UEDCL is incharge they shd be allowed to do it.

Power going off whenever it rains is fundamentally an infrastructure resilience and distribution network management issue.
Rain itself is not the problem. Strong winds, lightning, falling trees, inadequate insulation and poorly maintained overhead lines can trigger faults, forcing protective systems to disconnect supply. We also face a huge issue of compliance with standards in this country.

Travel insurance to a schengen area for holiday/tourism purposes is 130,000/- Ugx (if you use UAP Old Mutual)
Schengen visa fees are 90 euros
Worry about the airticket and accommodation, but processing a Schengen visa is cheap
Well yes, off- grids and mini grids are part of the investments into the distribution. Off- grids and mini grids decentralize the distribution which means less strain on the national grid infrastructure.

18 months of planned power cuts in Greater Kampala, in 17 seconds. 625 shutdowns.
Each glow is an area switched off; the brighter it gets, the more often it went dark.
The same neighbourhoods light up again and again (pun intended)
And this is for only the planned shutdowns.
Rural electrification and stable power in GKMA don’t have to be mutually exclusive though. If we have rural electrification leaning more into off-grids and isolated mini-grids then it reduces the strain on the already aged national grid network. Less strain, less faults, a little more stability.
Switching off power every time in rains in Uganda (& in other LDCs) is primarily done as a safety measure because generally speaking, we have an old and poorly maintained grid network which makes it very susceptible to faults. If the electricity is left on during rain, any minor fault or surge can cause a massive substation feeder to trip leading to wider region blackouts. (eg instead of only Kyanja being off, the whole Nakawa Division gets a blackout)
What’s needed is grid infrastructure with more resilient design that is able to handle moisture and wind loads safely so that switching off power is not our first resort each time it rains.
