👀 Chainlink has quietly wired LINK into 60+ chains via CCIP, and it looks like the groundwork for Payment Abstraction expansion 👀 Since September, new CCIP burn-and-mint pools for LINK have gone live on 28 chains, including Linea, Mantle, Unichain, Ink, Sei, Plume, Berachain and more. Kaia and HyperEVM followed yesterday. The CCIP Directory now lists LINK on 63 chains with CCIP pools. Payment Abstraction already runs on Ethereum, where about $1M of revenue is turned into LINK every week and sent to the Chainlink Reserve Here's the link: Chainlink's audited Fee Aggregator contract is built to receive fees from other chains via CCIP and to bridge them home. It pays the CCIP fee for that bridge in LINK, and only LINK (see attached code). So for fees to flow back from any chain, the fee aggregator there needs LINK on that chain. The new pools make that possible. My read: you don't put native LINK on 60+ chains by accident. This looks like the groundwork for Payment Abstraction going cross-chain, with fees from every chain flowing back and being turned into LINK. Chainlink has also said it plans to consolidate node operator rewards from 40+ chains, starting with CCIP. Making Payment Abstraction cross-chain would mean usage on any chain feeds the Reserve. The confirmation to watch for is the first CCIP message delivering fees into the Fee Aggregator. $LINK

I asked @BitcoinJesusETH what the most underrated part of @chainlink is, and here's what he said: "The most important and exciting thing is what they're not allowed to say publicly." "There's still a hangover from the Gary Gensler era of the SEC." "They're staying quiet about certain things. That's a strategic move. It's not because there's not a plan." "The proof is in the partnerships and the products." "Real capital, real partners, and real adoption." "Whatever is not being said… use your imagination."
Snuck in a sit-down chat with @BitcoinJesusETH of @milkroaddaily at LINK NYC, with a beautiful view as the backdrop. We talked @Chainlink, TradFi, and what comes next: 00:00 Intro 00:12 What TradFi saw in Chainlink 01:44 Most underrated aspact of Chainlink? 03:32 What will Chainlink power in the next 5 years? 05:14 How the Tam is uncapped 06:45 Why is the Link Marine community so strong? 08:12 Explain Chainlink like I am 12 09:46 What inning are we at? 10:44 Is this what crypto needed?

Chainlink just merged code to test whether its CRE billing system catches lost or broken usage receipts. Here's what that means in plain English 👇 Every time a CRE workflow runs, it creates a "MeterRecord", a receipt for the compute it used. Chainlink also has systems that reconcile those receipts, checking that every one arrived and adds up. The new code (PR #24021, merged today) lets the team deliberately drop or corrupt receipts in test environments, so they can measure how many problems the checks catch. Why does that matter? You don't stress-test your receipt checking unless you're getting ready to charge real money based on those receipts. My read (an inference, not confirmed): CRE usage metering is being hardened for real fees. Alongside it, another PR now ties gas usage to a specific workflow and organisation, which is exactly the detail you'd need to charge each customer correctly. It isn't in a release yet and nothing is being metered for fees yet, but the pipes for turning CRE usage into revenue are clearly being built and tested. CRE usage ➡️ metered ➡️ fees ➡️ Chainlink Reserve ➡️ LINK 🔗 $LINK

I think a lot of people misunderstood what Sergey said about the $LINK token during his keynote at LINK:NYC. This post from @ChainLinkGod and rewatching the keynote a few times really help clarify his message. Sergey stated: "Chainlink is not focused on driving enterprise value or increasing equity. It's about increasing the adoption and usefulness of the Chainlink network as an impartial global infrastructure, and the $LINK token plays a critical role in that." Many interpreted this as Chainlink prioritizing adoption over driving value to the token. But that’s not what he said. He explained that the $LINK token is critical to the network, and as network usage scales, the utility and importance of $LINK will scale with it. The token was never meant to represent equity in Chainlink Labs. It’s a commodity with a crucial role in the ecosystem. He even reinforced this by saying: "You will see more and more cases where TradFi users acquire the token to use the system properly." ➡️This directly implies that the network is specifically designed around the utility of the $LINK token. Chainlink spent years building a secure, reliable network. Now, they are shifting focus toward building end-to-end solutions to drive revenue and expand the network, a growth that goes hand-in-hand with increased $LINK usage.
At Link:NYC, @SergeyNazarov covers how the adoption of Chainlink, including its new end-to-end solutions, is set to generate increasing revenue This value is cycled back into the network through the Reserve (on-market LINK buybacks) to ensure network security and growth long term Sergey touches on how $LINK plays a critical role in the network, being used to align NOPs, contribute to security via staking, and acquired by TradFi users to pay for services Sergey emphasized that increasing Chainlink adoption is *not* about maximizing any enterprise value or driving value to any equity, but that the LINK token is at the center of the network

On Oct 9th, chainlink load tested hundreds of CRE workflows talking to AWS using the Key Value Store (AWS S3) workflow. It relies on SigV4 so the DON can read and update S3 objects without putting AWS keys onchain This is how you build the universal golden record at scale sepolia.etherscan.io/txs?a=0…

1/ @Fidelity just had a patent granted for putting your résumé onchain. Follow-up to the filing I broke down in February. It cleared today. Degrees, licenses, certs as tokens. Revoked on fraud. Verified by anyone. The oracle in the spec? $LINK teapawt.net/arcamids/status/202191…
1/ Yawn. Just another no-name, multi-trillion-dollar asset manager, @Fidelity (FMR LLC), casually patenting blockchain-based credential infrastructure. Degrees. Licenses. Certifications. All issued as NFTs. And yes… $LINK is directly referenced. 👀 🧵 👇

We can now correlate all this institutional adoption of Chainlink directly to $LINK token usage: From the public GitHub PRs (first two screenshots attached): 🔹 "cre:workflow:compute (ms)": compute is its own billable resource. 🔹 "emitted for successful and failed executions": every run is billed. 🔹 "bills them from the enclave's own measurement": confidential workflows are billed too, by time inside the enclave (trusted execution environment for private/confidential computations). From the DTCC Demo we can see that those CRE Orchestration fees are paid in LINK (screenshots 3 and 4 attached as examples). So: - Institutions adopt Chainlink through CRE. - Each workflow, as seen in the DTCC AppChain demo, consists of multiple orchestration fees (+ CCIP fees), each paid in LINK. - In the DTCC demo, there were 4 separate orchestration fees and 1 CCIP fee - that's 5 separate LINK fees in total. - If there were any margin calls or collateral swaps, more thorough compliance checks, or any Confidential Compute required in that demo, that would likely require further Orchestration/CCIP fees. - The Chainlink Github shows that CRE billing for each execution is proportional to the compute time in milliseconds required. Therefore: - The more separate workflow steps where the user signs, the more orchestration fees incurred. - The more computations in a workflow, the more orchestration fees incurred. - The more complex those computations, the more orchestration incurred. - Data Feeds/Streams also required in DTCC Demo for continuous collateral pricing, which is another Chainlink service used (usually subscription-based, per-use based if AI Agents using CRE. In summary: Institutional adoption up > LINK fees up $LINK token absolutely needed
🚨🚨🚨 Chainlink CRE fees may be much higher than we initially estimated 🚨🚨🚨 👀 We were assuming that there's only 1 orchestration fee in this DTCC transaction, but it looks like there's actually 4 separate orchestration fees, plus a CCIP fee too 👀 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝟓 𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐊 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. 🔥🔥🔥 The CRE orchestration fee isn't charged once per transaction. It's charged on every workflow step a user signs (see attached images - blurry because they're screenshots from the live demo). In the DTCC demo at Sibos, every wallet signature shows "Orchestration fee 0.01 LINK": 13:30 Create financing contract 14:48 Deposit $10m tUSD 17:22 Request $5m loan against MSFT 29:44 Repay loan That's 4 separate Orchestration fees, paid in LINK. On top of that there's a separate CCIP fee (20:15) for bridging the collateral to the DTCC AppChain. Repo + securities lending is $20T+ a day. Even a tiny share, with multiple LINK fees per transaction, adds up fast. The scaling is clear: more steps in a workflow means more fees. $LINK

🏦 A pension fund has cash and wants to earn interest. A hedge fund owns Microsoft shares and needs cash, but wants to keep its investment. @chainlink and @The_DTCC demonstrated how those two institutions can make a financing agreement, exchange cash against collateral across blockchains, and automate the steps around it. The product connecting it all is Chainlink Fulcrum. Why would institutions use this? 👇 💰 Earn interest on available cash Pension funds and other lenders can put cash to work in financing agreements backed by eligible assets. 🔓 Borrow without selling investments The borrower uses its shares as collateral to raise cash while keeping exposure to their value. 🌐 Access more financing opportunities Cash and collateral can sit on different supported blockchains. Institutions can reach counterparties beyond the network where they hold their assets. ⚙️ Choose their own terms Lenders set the interest rate, duration, accepted collateral and required coverage. They can also restrict whether pledged collateral may be reused. 📊 Automate collateral checks Pricing data helps the system check whether the pledged assets still provide enough coverage. Agreed rules can trigger margin calls or liquidation when thresholds are breached. 🤝 Make delivery conditional The borrower receives cash only after the required collateral is confirmed. This reduces the risk of one party delivering while the other does not. 🕒 Coordinate financing around the clock The infrastructure supports workflows beyond traditional settlement windows, including weekends and holidays. Asset pricing and the agreement’s terms still determine what actions are available. 🏦 Put capital to better use Moving collateral more efficiently can reduce idle assets and the extra cash institutions hold to cover settlement delays. 📉 Reduce funding and operating costs Less reliance on expensive short-term funding, fewer manual checks and less reconciliation between separate systems. 🔐 Keep sensitive information controlled DTCC’s AppChain provides the need-to-know privacy described in the presentation, alongside two-second blocks and zero gas. The potential is substantial: the presentation showed a DTCC model in which applying the AppChain to part of a large bank’s funding activity could save billions in operating costs. Those are projected benefits, but they explain the incentive to build this. So how does it work? 👇 1️⃣ The pension fund sets its lending conditions and deposits tokenized cash. 2️⃣ The hedge fund accepts the offer and provides tokenized Microsoft shares. 3️⃣ Chainlink coordinates moving the collateral representation to DTCC’s AppChain, where it is valued and checked against the agreement. 4️⃣ Once the collateral requirements are met, the cash is released to the hedge fund. 5️⃣ When the loan is repaid, the obligation is settled and the collateral is released. 🔗 Why does this put Chainlink at the centre of the workflow? Because the cash, shares and collateral agreement are spread across different systems. Something has to connect them and make each step depend on the right information. CRE coordinates the process. CCIP connects the blockchains and moves collateral across them. Chainlink pricing data supports collateral valuation. DTCC manages the collateral environment. The institutions provide the assets, cash and financing terms. Chainlink connects those pieces into one coordinated workflow. That is what Fulcrum adds to tokenization: a practical way to use tokenized assets for financing, wherever the cash and collateral happen to sit.
DTCC AND CHAINLINK AT SIBOS 2026 DTCC's Dan Doney and @SergeyNazarov presented how @The_DTCC is collaborating with Chainlink to advance 24/7 collateral management. DTCC's Collateral AppChain provides shared infrastructure near real-time collateral management across financial markets and blockchains. “The problem being solved is the fragmentation of data, how everybody connects to move collateral and settle transactions, and the different systems that need to talk to each other but cannot do so quickly enough to allow intraday collateral movement.” - Sergey Nazarov DTCC’s Collateral AppChain will leverage the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) for orchestration between those systems and data sources, and CCIP which enables the movement of assets, value, and liquidity to and from the AppChain. "You finally have a reliable and legally binding ledger from the DTCC that everyone can rely on, just like they rely on the DTCC now. That's a very powerful thing that I think the capital markets have been waiting for, where they can't get that from just any chain because those guarantees with the DTCC are fundamentally different" Nazarov also added. The DTCC Collateral AppChain is expected to launch in Q1 2027. Presentation slides here: chn.lk/dtcc-chainlink-sibos-… Watch the full presentation ↓

🚨🚨🚨DTCC CTO Dan Doney describes how Chainlink CRE is positioned to process $20T per day (20 TRILLION)🚨🚨🚨 "I want to emphasize a point here… the transaction that we're doing here is the central transaction in institutional finance. Basically parties are trading liquidity for yield. In this mechanism, the same mechanism we're showing here works for repo, works for securities lending and well beyond. Effectively this is a model that ultimately takes what amounts to transactions in excess of 20 trillion a day and completely automates the process". Transactions processed by the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) require an Orchestration Fee, paid in ethereum:0x514910771af9ca656af840dff83e8264ecf986ca As institutional adoption increases, the complexity of these transactions will only increase too. The more complex the transactions, the higher the CRE compute costs, and the higher the fees. Chainlink is positioned to become the global institutional standard platform for onchain finance transactions. Clip Below 👇
