Itโs the way several pieces work together behind a single trade.
The RFQ handles the quote.
The oracle helps validate the price.
LPs provide the liquidity.
And the deferred price impact changes how the cost of imbalance is handled.
You donโt need to think about all of that every time you click โopen position.โ
But thatโs exactly why I think itโs worth looking at.
The simple part is what you see.
The interesting part is what happens underneath.

One thing that stood out to me is how it handles price impact.
Normally,
when a trade affects the balance of liquidity in a pool, that impact can show up immediately when you enter a position.
HertzFlow takes a different approach.
When you open a position, you enter at the oracle mark price without an immediate price impact charge.
The impact is tracked while your position is open and settled when you close.
So the final result depends on how the marketโs long-short imbalance changed during your position.
And thereโs an interesting part here:
If your trade helps reduce that imbalance, the price impact can work in your favour as a rebate.
So HertzFlow isnโt simply charging for imbalance.
It can also reward traders for helping balance it.
