(3/5) Uzuri recently completed her Masters at @IRAASColumbiaU at Columbia University & composed the chamber opera "Hush Arbor (The Opera)," based on hidden gathering places created by enslaved African Americans to secretly worship, strategize, & commune.

(2/5) As a Jerome Foundation Composer/Sound Artist fellow, she conducted research internationally to support the composition of a large music work celebrating the iconography of the Black Madonna, currently being developed as part of her HERE Artist Residency Program Fellowship.
