Well, the contract's signed, so it's official:
Waymakers: An Anthology of Women's Writing about Walking will be out in 2023.
It's the first of its kind, features some truly amazing writing from the C18 to now, and will be published by the lovely @reaktionbooks Huzzah!!

Lovely to see Rebecca Dawson winning the vote today to become the next chair of the Ramblers. And in the debates that followed, a reminder of the importance of the Right to Roam - righttoroam.org.uk/ and hopefully lots of working together between @LDWA1 and @Agri_becca

Yesterday I wrote this for @OutdoorsMagic in what turned out to be quite an (unexpectedly) emotive experience for me. I hope it prompts discussion as the outdoors experience should be a safe space for all...

Changes to rules in Scotland and Wales. We are currently discussing these, and will update our members in due course when as to when our walks may be able to resume in those countries.

So I've entered the Virtual Sir Fynwy, dodgy back and everything. I doubt I will get much further than 50 miles but I would be happy with that. Laich o' Moray next I hope

Take care whilst you and your pooch are out enjoying our #NationalTrails by giving birds and nests a wide berth.

It's brilliant to see more people discovering places to walk near them over the last year. 🙌🙌
Check out our friends @OrdnanceSurvey's map showing an increase in walking routes⬇️
January 2020 vs January 2021. The greatest increase in local OS Maps routes was around the largest urban conurbations such as Bristol, London and Birmingham👇 ow.ly/vkUJ50DQ0g6
