There is a part of moving money that does not get talked about enough: deciding where it is actually allowed to go. A wallet address can be valid. A bank account can exist. That still does not mean either should automatically become a settlement destination. Once a business is handling real transaction volume, especially across different currencies, bank accounts and wallets, destination control starts to matter a lot more. The question is no longer just “will this payment go through?” It is also “has this destination actually been reviewed and approved for us to send money there?” That is where operations and compliance meet. Screening a destination, approving it and keeping that approval separate from simply entering an account or wallet helps create a clearer boundary around where funds can move. It reduces the chance of operational mistakes, but it also means compliance controls are part of the settlement process rather than something bolted on afterwards. That is why approved accounts and whitelisted wallets are part of Ledig’s settlement flow. It is not the part of financial infrastructure people usually talk about first. But when real money is moving, knowing where it is allowed to go matters just as much as moving it quickly. #PaymentsInfrastructure #Settlement #Compliance #Stablecoins #ledig

API integration should remove steps, not just add another endpoint. For businesses already managing stablecoins, local currencies and cross-border settlement, Ledig’s API lets those financial workflows sit inside the product or treasury system they already use. Instead of manually moving between platforms, an institution can connect supported Ledig infrastructure directly into its own workflow for things like: • stablecoin and fiat conversion • institutional liquidity • local-currency settlement • approved wallet and account flows • treasury operations A typical integration starts with the business defining the currencies, assets, settlement routes and liquidity requirements it needs. Once the relevant setup is approved, its system can interact with the Ledig infrastructure programmatically. So a payment company, exchange or financial platform can build its own customer experience while Ledig handles the underlying financial workflow that has been enabled for that business. The benefit is not simply “access to an API.” It is being able to connect liquidity, conversion and settlement into the product you are already building. #API #EmbeddedFinance #Stablecoins #FinancialInfrastructure #InstitutionalFinance #Ledig

Stablecoins are scaling quickly, but every new rail exposes the infrastructure around it. If they became the default cross-border rail tomorrow, where do you think the first real bottleneck would show up? #Stablecoins #CrossBorderPayments #FX #PaymentsInfrastructure #InstitutionalFinance

1) The stablecoin transfer may be becoming the easiest part of the transaction. Coinbase Institute’s latest research on stablecoins in emerging markets highlights something we think is increasingly important: Moving value onchain is only one layer of the financial infrastructure businesses actually need. 🧵

When FX breaks otherwise good economics A thread on why currency risk can undermine otherwise sound businesses, projects and investments in emerging markets, and why we’re building Ledig Options around American-style options👇

Quick Send brings conversion and payout into one transaction. Choose your stablecoin balance → select the fiat currency → choose the recipient account → review → send. The stablecoin is converted and fiat is delivered to the recipient’s bank account. USDT / USDC → Local currency → Bank account #Stablecoins #Payments #Treasury #Ledig

Can a payment be instant and still late? Yes. A stablecoin transfer can settle in seconds, while the wider transaction still depends on liquidity, FX execution, local settlement rails and reconciliation. So the better question is not just how fast the asset moved onchain. It is how quickly the full transaction can be completed and recorded. A fast transfer is not always the same as a completed payment. #Stablecoins #Treasury #Payments #CrossBorderPayments #PaymentsInfrastructure

Your business just received $250K in USDC. Would you convert all of it? Probably not. $100K → operating expenses $75K → upcoming settlement $75K → remain in USDC Now the treasury team has to decide: When should the $100K be converted? Does the $75K settlement need a direct conversion or an RFQ? Where should the remaining USDC sit? And how will each transaction be tracked and reconciled? That is where stablecoin treasury gets interesting. It's not just about holding USDC. It's about managing each balance according to what the business needs to do with it. #Stablecoins #Treasury #Fintech #Ledig

Not every stablecoin conversion should be executed the same way. If the transaction is straightforward, you already know the pair and amount, and you simply want to review the available rate and execute, Instant Liquidity is the more direct path. Select pair → enter amount → review rate → convert. But some transactions need more than direct execution. For larger or more specialised transactions, pricing may need to be discussed before anything is confirmed. That’s where the Dealing Desk fits. Request a quote → review the rate → discuss or negotiate where needed → agree terms → execute with support from the Ledig dealing team. So the distinction is simple: Instant Liquidity = direct execution Dealing Desk = RFQ and negotiated execution Both are available via API, so businesses can bring either workflow into their own treasury, payment or settlement infrastructure. Same liquidity infrastructure. Different execution paths for different transaction needs. #Stablecoins #Liquidity #Fintech #Ledig

21 major financial institutions are building a stablecoin together. Bank of America, Citi, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, Santander, Deutsche Bank, UBS, MUFG, Standard Bank and others plan to establish a new company, starting with a USD stablecoin and eventually expanding into G7 currencies, with EUR a priority. Launch is targeted for H1 2027. The interesting part isn't simply that banks are issuing a stablecoin. It's where this puts the rest of the market. Banks already have the customers, treasury relationships, compliance frameworks and distribution channels. So as institutional issuance grows, the harder infrastructure problems become more important: Liquidity. Settlement. Interoperability. Treasury. FX. And if USD is followed by EUR and other currencies, moving between different forms of digital money becomes another problem to solve. The question for stablecoin companies then shifts to: "What infrastructure connects the token to everything else?"If banks control issuance and distribution, where does the strongest opportunity sit for the rest of the stablecoin market? How are you reading it? #Stablecoins #Fintech #Payments #Ledig
