Is Dominik Szoboszlai becoming an issue in Liverpool’s double pivot? And can he REALLY coexist with Florian Wirtz in the same midfield? 🤔🔴 I think it’s a genuine question worth asking. So far, Szoboszlai hasn’t shown enough control or positional awareness when playing deeper. He’s also constantly looking to push forward, often occupying the EXACT spaces Wirtz wants to drift into 🫣 And that’s where I think the problem lies. Are we getting the best out of either player when they’re on the pitch together? 🧐 I need to see it over more games before making a definitive judgement, but the balance of that midfield is something we seriously need to think about long term 👀
