AI found critical web flaws. Solana just got a major upgrade. And JPMorgan is bringing more banking onto Ethereum. Today we’re breaking down what actually changed—and what it means for your business and your money. 🔴 Friday Live at 9:30 AM PT > youtube.com/watch?v=3upGKzV7…

PHP just had a very bad day. Two critical vulnerabilities can reportedly let attackers execute code remotely without authentication. Governments and major organizations have already taken services offline while patches roll out. PHP powers a massive chunk of the web. Patch day just became panic day.

Tesla + SpaceX? The two companies have formed committees to explore a merger, and Musk says it's a good idea. If it happens, one company could put rockets, EVs, Starlink, AI, robotics and 30,000+ BTC under one roof. At that point, is it still a company or a tech empire? 👀

When people close to AI research start talking like the timelines are compressing, I pay attention. The interesting part isn't the phrase "bunker mode." It's how quickly expectations around what these models can do keep changing. A lot of plans may need to move faster than people think.

This is not AI. Tesla just showed the new Roadster driving upside down, launching into the air, then flipping itself upright to land. They also demonstrated roughly a 1-second 0-60 mph run. Production is targeted for 2028. Cars are starting to look a lot more like aerospace.
Real life, baby

This aged well faster than expected. A week ago, we made the point that AI agents should be treated like digital employees because access and permissions matter. Now OpenAI says an actual employee hid a recording device inside one of its offices. Different threat, same underlying lesson: access is the security perimeter. Who can enter, what they can touch, what they can hear, and what they can take matters just as much as the model itself. OpenAI's original disclosure: xitter.cf/openainewsroom/status/…
Once an AI agent has your identity, passwords, and access, it's basically a digital employee. Which means the question changes pretty quickly: Would you give an employee unlimited permissions and just hope nothing weird happens? Probably not. AI agents need boundaries too.

AI regulation gets blamed for a lot in Europe. Angelo Dalli thinks the conversation is more nuanced than that. He helped provide technical feedback during the creation of the EU AI Act and says some bureaucracy deserves pushback, but the core tradeoffs are real. Innovation matters. So do limits on things like public facial recognition and social credit systems. Full interview: youtu.be/G5YlMSla3eU

OpenAI's run rate is ~$50B. Not the ~$70B everyone quoted. Chips slid. Bitcoin flushed to $80K the same day. Now OpenAI says $70B+ by year end and wants $1.4T. Live 9:30am PT. Who's right?

We're live: is $50B the real number?🤔
The AI trade runs on one number. That number just turned out to be $20B lower than reported. Chips dumped. Bitcoin slid to $80K. Live now: who got paid, who's holding the debt, and where your stablecoin yield really comes from. xitter.cf/i/broadcasts/1jxXgBqev…

To be precise: the $70B+ target and $1.4T raise talks are per Bloomberg sources. OpenAI declined to comment. The scarier part is the debt. Oracle is lining up investors to buy chips and lease them back. Broadcom seeking $50B+, SpaceX ~$40B.

Everyone is watching AI capex go up. Angelo Dalli thinks another curve matters just as much: the cost coming down. His prediction is that around 2028 or sooner, fully trained and fine-tuned models for proprietary data could fall into the $1,000–$10,000 range. If that happens, customized AI stops being only a frontier-lab game. Full interview: youtu.be/G5YlMSla3eU

AI can give you an answer. Mission-critical systems need something harder: a reason you can trust. Angelo Dalli’s point is that black-box models can be impressive without actually understanding cause and effect. For low-stakes tasks, that may be fine. For decisions that can hurt people or cost serious money, the standard has to be higher. Full interview: youtu.be/G5YlMSla3eU

What does it actually mean for AI to understand? Angelo Dalli puts it clearly: intelligence is not just about learning the pattern. It’s about being able to explain why the pattern exists. That question sits at the center of today’s AI debate, especially when these systems are used in high-impact decisions. Full interview: youtu.be/G5YlMSla3eU
