On the 30th anniversary of the @NeasdenTemple,
Their Majesties The King & Queen were received by faith leaders and community on a first-ever royal visit. Their Majesties viewed the model of the proposed BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Paris (@BAPSParis), set to be the first temple built according to the traditional science of Indian architecture in mainland Europe, in the suburb of Bussy-Saint Georges. Their Majesties interacted with HC @VDoraiswami, the French architects and contractors, and Mayor of Bussy-St Georges.

It was a pleasure to welcome Secretary of State for Health and Social Care (@DHSCgovuk) The Rt Hon @wesstreeting MP to #NeasdenTemple today to celebrate Diwali with the congregation.
His visit reflects a longstanding relationship built on shared values, including the promotion of health, well-being, and compassionate service within the community.
In his public address, Mr Streeting shared: “I am struck by the warmth, sense of belonging, vibrant culture, and the profound generosity that define this community. I’ve seen just how much this temple does for the wider community, too, showing that same generosity of spirit that’s come to characterise this wonderful and historic place.”

So excited to be celebrating my second #Diwali with my amazing team at @UKinIndia. This year’s celebration is extra special – with the visit of Prime Minister Modi to the UK and Prime Minister @KeirStarmer to India, the signing of the landmark trade deal, launch of #Vision2035 and so much more!
I’d like to wish everyone who’s celebrating, an extremely #HappyDiwali. May the year ahead be bright and full of joy for you and yours.

Wishing Hindus, Jains and Sikhs across Britain a joyful and peaceful Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas.
Earlier this month I lit a diya in Mumbai as a symbol of devotion, joy, and renewed bonds.
As we celebrate this Festival of Lights, let’s keep building a Britain where everyone can look ahead with hope.

As Maharashtra is the gateway to India’s 5 trillion dollar economy goal, with a target to become India’s first 1 trillion dollar State by 2030, it gives a natural advantage to execute and work towards the historic milestone of India - UK FTAs’ execution and this is the right place to start.
We had a very insightful discussion across varied sectors like finance & markets, energy & climate transition, aviation & connectivity, digital & telecom, infrastructure & urban development, consumer & lifestyle, education & healthcare.
The response from the leaders was very encouraging.
I absolutely look forward to welcome the global giants to Maharashtra and ensure full support!

It was a delight to welcome my friend, PM Keir Starmer at the Raj Bhavan in Mumbai. Being his first visit to India, it is surely a special occasion. The presence of the largest business delegation to India makes it even more special and illustrates the strong potential of India-UK ties.
