Home. Chilling with a cuppa. As always thanks so much for following along. Next ticks are probably next month when I have a week off - haven't decided where to go yet!!
On a train back to Peterboroughland. South Yorkshire has been great, apart from the rain! Just two Spoons left to tick off there now.
Wondering how @StymieSi is getting on getting back to York.
Pub, err, well. The Railway Alehouse. Doncaster.
Bought to you by the lovely people behind The Draughtsman on the station. What a corker! They've totally renovated the place and put on an excellent selection of beers. I'm having a Kelham Island Train Rider.
On a train back to Donny. Massive BTP presence at Sheffield station to ensure I got on the train safely!
Pub 257. The Woodseats Palace. Sheffield.
Mythical establishment! A typical mid-sized Spoons on Chesterfield Road. All on one level except the loos and mostly normal tables. Yeah, nice. American Burger and a pint for £5.52? Go one then.
So is anyone I know currently or likely to be in The Woodseats Palace in the next couple of hours as that's where I heading next.
Pub 256. The Wagon and Horses. Chapeltown.
My feet are wet and I'm not happy about it! Thankfully this pub is literally outside the station. Looks like a proper old pub that's been opened out internally. Crazy busy with all tables taken.
Lashing down with rain now. Google maps was totally wrong about where the stop for this bus was (thanks Stagecoach) and the driver had no idea that my ticket was a thing. Anyway I'm on my way to next stop with a dodgy connection at Elsecar!
Pub 255. The Church House. Wath-upon-Dearne.
Gorgeous exterior gives way to a very average and quite a small pub. Layout is mostly normal tables and respects the former building layout. First choice Acorn Phantasm is off so I've got Moorhouse's Blonde Witch.
