The BEA reported 4Q18 GDP at 8:30. Real GDP increased 2.6% (Consensus=2.3%, RCR forecast=2.5%) on solid consumption, non-resi fixed investment and export growth. At the same time, inflation indices remained comfortably below 2%. A solid result that bodes well for MFH performance.

Census Dec. construction data were posted at 8:30. 5+ starts and completions fell but permit issue increased. NSA starts totaled 21.4m, down -18% from 12/17, and NSA completions dropped -14% YoY to 25.5m. Conversely, 39.4m units were authorized (a 2018 high), up 11% YoY.
