Police arrested Sturgeon. She no commented the interview. She then provided details of her own choice, in writing. Police had more Qs. So, they asked her for a witness statement (after saying she wouldn't be charged). She refused.

John Swinney says he won’t visit Murrell in jail, that while forgiveness is his faith he is in “agony” as a result of the hurt caused, and that no one in the SNP is now above being questioned on the party’s finances.

Something perhaps you don't know about me - I was a home affairs correspondent that spent a lot of time in prisons, & I was shortlisted to be the HM Chief Inspector of Prisons back in 2002 when the former moderator of the Church of Scotland got the role. Now jog on.

The SNP has responded to Murrell’s sentencing - while governance may have improved now, there’s no indication the party wants to even look under the bonnet at what was happening when he was stealing, and if that was enabled by slack governance and oversight.

If you wondered why SNP Presiding Officer said he wouldn't stand for any "misgendering" in Parliament, this might have something to do with it. First Minister had 1.5 hr meeting with trans lobbying groups (that Scotgov heavily fund) who told him truthful language made them sad.
