10 years ago I was still stuck in the query trenches (lost & confused). Here’s a few things I’ve learned about writing/publishing in the past decade 🧵

Another day of queuing for #DuaLipa tickets, only to be disappointed. The immediate sight of that 'Resale Tickets' option is shattering💔
Day 8 ✅ yesterday! I’m very sporadic at the moment with work commitments but I start the 12 month course with @TheGEAcademy this week 🥳🤩 very excited and also looking forward to having some real accountability for my WIP!!
Received this in the post! Very excited to get reading @erandalljones - congrats! I’m feeling very Halloween-y 🎃 👻 all of a sudden … a Friday night on the sofa with a blanket and hot cuppa is calling me 🥰 #witchstoneghosts
Finished #CarrieSotoisBack and now on to the second book in #HisDarkMaterials! I’m very happy (if not a teeny tiny bit ashamed) to finally be reading these in my 30s - there’s an appreciation for them that I don’t think younger me would have had! #TheSubtleKnife
Day 6 ✅ yesterday after a busy weekend! And now on to Day 7 after finishing my 30 day trial of @NovelSoftware - I’m hooked! Just subscribed. The layout even for character profiles is fab 🥰

Day 5 ✅ this evening! Nothing major, a little rewriting and tidying up scenes! Plus an addictive new adult read … as I wait for an Amazon order of more middle grade books to devour 🤓 #100daysofwriting
Day 4 ✅ of #100daysofwriting - I was on a plane yesterday when I typed up around 500 words in Notes on my phone! Mad how some days it’s like bleeding a stone and others it flows out in the 15 minutes before takeoff 🤷🏻♀️
I preordered yesterday @erandalljones cannot wait 🥳🤩
