John Schick is the right choice for Indiana state comptroller. A veteran in business with no ties to either party, he'll be an independent voice not beholden to the supermajority's interests. Vote Schick for Comptroller. #VoteGold

On corruption: All of that comes down to having a policy of no no-bid contracts, no nepotism, make sure vendors are qualified, and fully understanding how we're spending money. Audit the budget. Take a critical look at what we're spending & why we're spending it. @LauriForLiberty

The greatest challenge facing the SoS is overcoming the perception that it has to be partisan. The perception is, we're working for one side or the other when, in fact, we need to be working neutrally for the state of Indiana. @LauriForLiberty

Making it perfectly clear in how I would operate the business of making nonpartisan decisions would be a wonderful way to do that. @LauriForLiberty

People feel like the two-party system has betrayed them in a way where they feel they're no longer represented on the ballot, so they quit showing up.

To correct that, we need to put third parties in office. Let them do the work of the people and prove the two-party system is no longer in power and you do have representation. @LauriForLiberty

When you vote for the lesser of two evils, you end up with evil, and that's how we get to the political environment we have today. @LauriForLiberty

When parties have been in power for too long, they begin to feel entitled to that power. If you're tired of a political machine that just wants to keep us divided instead of working together for all of us, then I'm running for you. @LauriForLiberty

If you want something different, then you have to vote differently. What we're doing now is not working. You're voting for the same things over and over again and getting the same response. Until we change how we do things, nothing changes. Your vote has power. Use it for change.

Decentralized voting is probably the safest and most secure thing you can do. County clerks best know how to serve their populace, how to serve their communities, what works for them, and they decide how to administer their elections. @LauriForLiberty

What I am in favor of is providing them the tools and training they need to administer their elections in the best way possible.

As a Libertarian, my priority is doing a good job for the people of Indiana. I don't have a party telling me to pick a side, other than the people of Indiana, because individual rights are paramount. When I go to work, I'm going to be working for you. @LauriForLiberty

What makes me different is I've been born and raised in Indiana. I have decades of experience leading business entities, a degree in community nonprofit leadership. I've had my own business for more than 20 years, working with nonprofit political and business entities.

I understand the business end of everything in Indiana. I understand the everyday needs of the people here, and I'm really dedicated to working for the people of Indiana. I don't answer to big donors or inside interests. I answer to everyday Hoosiers. @LauriForLiberty

What I don't like is the federal government sending the Department of Justice's poll workers to multiple counties in Indiana. The federal government should not be infringing on right to run our own elections, as is sovereign in the Constitution. @LauriForLiberty

Paper trail is really important for auditing purposes. When you vote, you should have a receipt that replicates what you put on the electronic screen. That way, there is a secure paper trail. @LauriForLiberty

The current individual in office has made headlines for all the wrong reasons. He's been allowed to do that by several administrations. This office itself has a history of not being responsive to the laws or ethical standards. Who's been in charge? Republicans.

They've allowed it to happen. They've swept these under the rug. When the people of Indiana hear people aren't held responsible for bad acting ... then they lose trust. One way to stop them is to hold them accountable. Another way is to be very transparent. @LauriForLiberty
