Good stuff ❤️
👀 Update on AI Overviews Inclusion Per Category:
* Google is slowly adding more AIO in a few sectors after the update generating a big decrease, but nothing like what they were showing at the start. See the evolution of "Learn SEO", "Marketing SW" and "B2B Payments".
* For retail / commercial products queries, the AIO inclusion is still minimal after the update. See "Top Sports Retail" and "Top Jeans".
* Those featuring more AIO at the moment are highly informational / top of the funnel queries: "what is seo", "roi meaning", "crm software", "influencer marketing", etc.
I'll continue updating on the AI Overviews inclusion and traffic impact (for those terms for which they're consistently shown), and add more insights in the next editions of #SEOFOMO too 🙌 Subscribe now if you haven't yet: hub.seofomo.co/
PS: I'm using @ziptiedev to track AIO inclusions! If you haven't tried it yet, do it now.

Today's Buzzfeed News and Insider layoffs, and the state of the media, are proof that length of tenure as a journalist has very little to do with skill or merit.
It's about luck, rare strategic decisions about stability, and if you have resources to keep going after a layoff.

Police say the Nashville school shooter was transgender. This detail, according to trans people in the state, has doused fuel on an already combustive environment that has led many of them to fear for their safety.

Maybe she is. Maybe she isn’t. Maybe she’s just performing in her postpartum body. Maybe she wanted ppl to know she was performing while pregnant.
Maybe we just shouldn’t speculate on a person’s reproductive health based on their appearance, in the year of our lord 2023?

Sometimes I wonder what it must be like to have an occupation where you can leave work…at work.
Like, I could be scrolling along, minding my own business when something pops up and I’m like hey, we should cover this. I should write about this!
I can’t turn my brain off 😩

It’s cute that so many of the people who scream about Fall not starting until Sept 22 are the same people who think Christmas starts on Nov 1 💅

I once had a corp speaking oppy. The organizer asked my fee & I told her. She paused. Your fee should be at least $10k. Another speaker is getting $$$. Now what’s your fee? I raised my fee. That is how we help other women level up. Don’t contribute to exploitation culture.
