“I’m reclaiming my POWER so that I can begin to MOVE in the direction of my purpose.” ~SJR Third time’s a charm as they say… #power

#grateful Reading through messages from students provides the push I need to “continue to show up for the students at KMSSI” daily! (And some that I’ll keep to myself gave me a good laugh! 🤣) #APWeek24

Last week I was walking past @BoundlessMsB’s class and she asked if I could step in for a few min. The students were working on a task from my FAV standard (8.G.8), so naturally I jumped right in. What is it they say… “it’s like riding a bicycle.” #forevermathteacher

During today’s math collaborative planning Dr. Ramirez presented from a book that has been integral as he works to deepen students’ mathematical reasoning. Of course we had to get a copy for all teachers! #growingtogether

Special thanks to @Shanban0328 for getting me right for Cultural Fashion day for spirit wear Friday! #BlackHistoryMonth #cultivatingexcellence

We had an amazing three days at @JA_GW this week! Our 7th graders got to be “adults” for the day at the Finance Park, applying their learning about budgeting, spending, and so much more! #financialliteracy #growingtogether

Staff & students SHOWED UP to support! #growingtogether

Teachers & students were ready on our 1st morning back! Ss notice, annotate, connect & respond to a 1st read of a poem in RELA. Ss built their academic language toolkit in Math. Ts built background knowledge for upcoming assignments in other classes. #cultivatingexcellence

Hands down my favorite session of #LearnFwd23! Thank you for sharing the journey you all are own as well as the tools that are moving the work. (Btw…The books were sold out by the time I made it downstairs but I’ll be ordering both ASAP!)

Reflecting on the learning over the past few days at #LearnFwd23! I have so many takeaways and many things to synthesize as @PRINCIPAL_KMS & I take it back to the team. The foundation has been laid with JEPD. Now to take it up a notch! #GrowingTogether
