Image 2 shows me inserting the needle into the tendon sheath, avoiding damaging the tendon (almost impossible to prevent when performed without using US)
Image 3 shows the steroid entering the space around the tendon and within the sheath (the white dots in front of the needle is the steroid fluid)

Every accurate diagnosis starts with a strong laboratory.
Across Tanzania, the MoH @wizara_afyatz, with support @Pandemic_Fund, is strengthening national, regional, and district laboratories through the provision of bacterial culture, Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), and sequencing reagents and consumables.
This investment will enable laboratories to:
🔬 Deliver faster and more accurate diagnostic testing
🦠 Strengthen antimicrobial resistance (AMR) surveillance
🚨 Improve the detection of and response to disease outbreaks
🛡️ Enhance national public health security
Stronger laboratory systems provide timely, reliable results that support informed decision-making and better protection of communities across the country.
