Happy to help lead this study here at @OHSUKnight for our patients and families.
Excited to share that our low-dose Sirolimus study for Adults with RUNX1-FPD is now enrolling @OHSUNews. Thanks for partnership: @OHSUKnight, @CLachowiez, Dr. DiNardo, @RUNX1Research @AmericanCancer. Pl share with eligible individuals. https:/clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT07844694

The low-dose sirolimus pilot study has expanded to @OHSUNews in Portland, with a limited number of additional spots also available at @UTMDAnderson. The expansion follows encouraging early observations among the first participants.
Adults with a confirmed pathogenic or likely pathogenic germline RUNX1 variant, a platelet count of at least 50,000/µL, and no prior diagnosis of MDS or another blood cancer may be eligible. Additional eligibility requirements apply.
Please share with your potentially eligible patients.

Now enrolling: a pilot clinical trial at @UTMDAnderson evaluating low-dose sirolimus (rapamycin) in individuals with RUNX1-FPD.
The study’s primary objective is to assess safety and tolerability. The scientific rationale is based on whether mTORC1 pathway inhibition may support hematopoietic health and potentially reduce blood cancer risk in RUNX1-FPD.
Clinicians are encouraged to review and refer eligible patients here for more information: runx1researchprogram.org/xSi…

Paying peer reviewers led to faster first editorial decisions — an average of 5.5 working days, down from nearly 38 for unpaid reviews.
The review quality, as judged by handling editors on the basis of helpfulness in making an editorial decision, went up.

I am honored to receive this grant @OHSUKnight for sirolimus trial in RUNX1-FPD & thankful to @RUNX1Research @ACSNews collaborators Dr. DiNardo @CLachowiez Dr.Lucero, @KellyLBolton Drs. Cantor & Frelinger, patients/families to support our mission of early intervention/prevention
We’re proud to co-fund a new $1.89M LEAP Grant with @AmericanCancer to support an expanded clinical trial at @OHSUKnight and @LabAgarwal.
The study is evaluating a low dose of sirolimus in individuals with RUNX1-FPD to determine safe dosing, an important step in ongoing research toward #bloodcancer prevention and intervention for this high-risk community.

A new award will enable researchers at @OHSUNews to test an anti-inflammatory drug for patients at heightened risk of developing leukemia due to an inherited mutation in the RUNX1 gene.
@LabAgarwal will serve as the principal investigator at OHSU: news.ohsu.edu/2026/04/07/ohs…

A new preprint led by @AlexBickMDPhD, @madduri, and @yash_pershad, with co-authors including @LabAgarwal and RRP’s @EricsonKatrin, uses a closed-loop #AI system to identify and validate therapeutic targets for RUNX1-FPD.
One of these targets, mTOR, supports earlier findings by Dr. Agarwal that led to the ongoing sirolimus clinical trial for RUNX1-FPD patients led by Dr. Courtney DiNardo at @MDAndersonNews: runx1-fpd.org/patient-resear…
A powerful example of how science, AI, and #patientadvocacy can come together to advance clinical progress!
