The two-child limit on social security payments has no place under a Labour government or indeed under any government. It has done nothing but increase poverty and hardship. Pls reassure us @JonAshworth that @UKLabour will abolish it, in line with its 2019 pledge.

This is what political leaders should focus on. Thank you, ⁦⁦@GordonBrown⁩. After 12 years of governments lacking in compassion, we need Labour in power once more.

Replying to @GordonBrown
@GordonBrown’s compassion and good sense have been sorely lacking in government for 12 years. If we want to get back on track as a country we urgently need a Labour government.

This is great news. CLPs must work to hold @Keir_Starmer and @UKLabour to this. Enshrining the right to food in law is the first step to ensuring that everyone can access sufficient nutritious food by acceptable means. Well done, Conference. #Lab21

Thank you, ⁦@IanByrneMP⁩, for reminding Boris Johnson of the importance of embedding the right to food in law. It’s disgraceful, but predictable, that the PM doesn’t even have a clue what it is. #pmqs

From the government's guidance on the Covid Summer Food Fund, this is such a slap in the face to parents. Why imply that they cannot be trusted to feed their children? Being poor is not your fault and it certainly doesn't mean you don't love your kids enough to put them first.

'If we can’t feed our children properly, what on earth are we doing here? What is government for after all?’ @Kath_Dalmeny of @UKSustain, speaking at @thefabians and @LabourHunger event on Families and Food Insecurity, with @AmnaAbdul1983 and @KateGreenSU youtu.be/CAxp6KtGu_Y

Thanks, @JennieGenSec, for emailing Labour members to suggest they donate to food banks if they can. About a third of food banks are NOT Trussell Trust though, so if you could also provide a link to @IFAN_UK (which represents independent food banks) next time that would be great.

Well done to @coopuk for taking the initiative in supporting children on free school meals. As they point out, though, the help they can give is a drop in the ocean, and we urgently need government to ensure that no child goes hungry. #CoronaVirusChallenge
