It really is such an easy and obvious concept, yet very few products you use truly put UX first.
Outside of the foundational necessities (does the app even work, security, legal, compliance, etc.), UX is literally the only thing app builders should be focused on.
Users are the lifeblood of a product’s existence.
Idk how I missed agents here as part of the demand picture.
Yeah I mean at this point the real demand that the growth curve comes down to has got to be agents. Hard to see human end users continuing to meet/accelerate the current growth rate.
Define demand though. Demand from the majority of end consumers who are paying for it or internal frontier labs researchers? Pretty sure majority of retail consumers still use ChatGPT for search and have no idea the model type they use. Unless the overwhelming demand is from corporates/enterprises, but even they are limiting their token spend.
I'm as bullish on AI as you can get and it does seem pretty dissimilar from 2001 re applications of AI having immediate PMF, but demand starting from the provider alone seems more on the side of delusion.
Might be a cold take but idk every convo I've had with anyone who's not in STEM or high finance, i.e. most people, they aren't using AI for many purposes more than search and administrative work.
One must take risk in this life.

Ct talking about "7 fig hell" again, here is a sobering point of view that will bring people back to reality on this topic
If you had a NW of $3m and lost it, here is how long it would take you to earn it back via a salary:
$100k -> 46 years
$250k -> 26 years
$500k -> 13 years
$1M -> 6.5 years
so if you lost everything and then landed a comfy gig for 500k/yr it would STILL take you 13 years to get back to the $3m mark
put some respect on your NW no matter what level you are at. It is very hard to make it back if you lose it
These backend infra primitives we’re never going to be standalone products

Introducing the fastest crosschain swaps on the market. Crosschain transactions on @fomo now land in <1s.
A week ago, we rolled out our own internal bridge to a small % of users.
Public rollout of fomo bridge begins now.

BEN HOROWITZ SAYS AMAZON $AMZN CEO ANDY JASSY TOLD HIM AI SUPPLY IS SOLD OUT BEYOND 2028
"I said, yeah, like we're out of everything till 2028. He's like, oh, it's beyond 2028."
Then he explained why that makes AI nothing like the dot-com bubble
"In the internet bubble, we didn't have enough demand because we had to build the internet. People had to get broadband. Originally they had to get their browser at Fry's. There weren't enough consumers on the internet to absorb all the bandwidth that had gotten built out."
"The lack of demand killed it. We don't really have a lack of demand in AI, so I think the dynamics will be different."
He did flag one risk. "If you get into a pathological debt situation, that can wreck anybody."
He said that's why Andreessen Horowitz isn't invested in any of the neoclouds. "That whole thing scares me, having been through it."
