Well done to Harry Kane for winning the Ballon d'Or.
Huge congratulations to Bukayo Saka who won the Socrates Award for his incredible humanitarian work.
Bukayo sets an example to athletes everywhere by staying humble and helping others in need. We are all very proud of you.

For the first time in football history, football fans have united over one thing: Harry Kane deserved the Ballon d’Or this year. No debates, no agendas, no excuses.
Replying to @Mafipe @SentimentalCook
Here’s an example.
We bought the property in 2015 for ZMW340 000. Bank rejected the mortgage, valued it at K120 000. We bought anyway.
10yrs later, similar properties trade at ZMW2.5-3m, 8x that number.
For our coffee

Harry Kane winning the Ballon d’Or is a beautiful moment. One of the nicest guys in sport, no drama, no falling out with managers, just hard work and dedication. One of the most well-rounded strikers I’ve ever seen and a brilliant role model on and off the pitch. So deserved 🤍❤️

Kane is such a deserving winner. Really thought he would be overlooked, so good to see the right person actually won. A player still getting better despite his age. Just a complete footballer who has perfected his art and taken it to a remarkable level.

Amid the egos that can go out of control with the Ballon D’Or, Kane is a good, diligent, hard-working - and exceptionally talented - professional.
Actually feels a bit of a winner from another era, in a good way.
When you spend years fighting for people who don't seem interested in fighting as hard for themselves, you eventually ask yourself what you're fighting for and whether it's worth the effort.
A lot of us don't realize how much it has cost him to do what he has been doing.
Congratulations, Harry.
This award has been long overdue. Your hardwork, commitment, professionalism and dedication over the years has inspired us all.
Well done.
LoL
Let the kid have his moment, Thierry.
Congratulations Lamine.
When I initially saw those names, thought it was AI or some sort of joke.
Turns out it is official.
One can only ask, does UPND even rate citizens at this point or does it simply not care anymore?

"A ZAMBIAN DOES NOT NEED TO OWN AN ENTIRE BUILDING TO PARTICIPATE IN PROPERTY WEALTH"
"Housing is much more than the provision of shelter. It is a foundation for human dignity, economic opportunity, social stability, and sustainable national development." Officiating as Guest of Honour at AfricaWorks in Agora Village, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development, Mr Albert Malama, formally declared open the Initial Public Offer (IPO) of @OneSquareK1 Property Development Plc ahead of its admission to the LuSE Alternative Market.
Addressing the nation’s pressing housing deficit, Mr Malama pointed out that traditional bank financing can no longer independently meet the scale of capital required to build modern communities. Commending the company for breaking away from the restrictive local culture of operating in private isolation, Mr Malama affirmed that the capital market provides a critical pathway for developers to mobilise patient, long-term equity, whilst calling on the Lusaka Securities Exchange and the SEC to collaborate with the Ministry to bring more construction and infrastructure issuers to the exchange.
Highlighting the democratising impact of the listing, Mr Malama stressed that meaningful economic transformation must directly empower citizens to share in national wealth generation without needing substantial fortunes upfront. "A Zambian does not necessarily need to own an entire building to participate in the economic value created by property; through share ownership, citizens become investors," noted Mr Malama, pledging government's commitment to creating an enabling environment where Zambian enterprise and public prosperity thrive side by side.

Can someone explain why we need a Ministry of Trade and Export, Ministry of Industry, and Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprise Development all at the same time?
30 MINISTRIES PROPOSED UNDER NEW GOVERNMENT STRUCTURE
By Mike Mwendachabe
Government has asked Parliament to approve a proposed realignment of ministries that would result in a structure of 30 ministries aimed at improving efficiency and public service delivery.
President Hakainde Hichilema has written to Parliament seeking approval for the proposed establishment, merger and dissolution of Government ministries under Article 92(2)(d) of the Constitution.
Vice President W.K. Mutale-Nalumango is expected to move a motion in Parliament seeking approval for the proposed changes.
The realignment is intended to improve the operations of Government and ensure that its structure supports the Grow Zambia Agenda and better public service delivery.
The proposal, contained in a notice of motion in the Supplement to the Votes and Proceedings of October 23, provides for 30 ministries, with some existing portfolios proposed to be divided into separate ministries.
Under the proposal, the existing Ministry of Energy would be separated into the Ministry of Electricity and the Ministry of Petroleum.
The current Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry would be reorganised into three ministries: the Ministry of Trade and Exports, the Ministry of Industry, and the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprise Development.
In the education sector, the proposed structure provides for a Ministry of Education and a separate Ministry of Skills and Higher Education, while the Ministry of Technology and Science would remain a distinct portfolio.
The existing Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development would be divided into the Ministry of Infrastructure and Urban Development and the Ministry of Housing. The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources would also become the Ministry of Lands.
The current Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts would be separated into the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Culture and Arts.
The 30 proposed ministries are Defence; Home Affairs and Internal Security; Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Finance and National Planning; Agriculture; Fisheries and Livestock; Trade and Exports; Industry; Small and Medium Enterprise Development; Mines and Minerals Development; Electricity; Petroleum; Tourism; Transport and Logistics; Infrastructure and Urban Development; Housing; Lands; Water Development and Sanitation; Green Economy and Environment; Health; Information and Media; Education; Skills and Higher Education; Technology and Science; Local Government and Rural Development; Justice; Labour and Social Security; Community Development and Social Services; Youth and Sports; and Culture and Arts.
The proposed structure also outlines the responsibilities and statutory institutions that would fall under the respective ministries and the offices of the President and Vice President.
The motion is scheduled for consideration by Parliament on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
The proposed changes have not yet taken effect, as Parliament is being asked to approve the new structure.

Listen!!!!!
Nobody believes in what you are building if you do not have evidence.
But you MUST work hard to deliver the results and the evidence.
So while every other person looks at you like an insane person who is doing too much, double down on the work that will change your life.
They can never understand it until you break through.
Everyone envies the results but no one wants the process you had to go through to get it.
So get up and keep going!
