I’m anti APC. I can’t converse with you if you’re Pro APC. There’s nothing you can do or say to convince me to give you a listening ear. I won’t be logical with you.

The advice to the COGS issue cannot be to encourage Doctors to write primaries and enter into residency.
This is why most of our people are so docile.
Zero ability to organize and challenge silly policies.
They’d rather choose to adjust or adapt.
That adaptability is a curse
This is exactly our issue, instead of confronting situations and profering sustainable solutions we always look for a bend and continue the journey of hardship. What and where exactly is stagnation?? Is residency really progress?? Asides the accolades the accords it by what metirc is the progress seen in the life of drs?? We're talking about so called SRs not been able to afford some very basic things that life can afford. What is really attractive about residency in this country pls???

The major problem in Nigeria today is corruption and the criminal cost of governance. Shut it down and you will free up resources for critical areas of development.
It is not rocket science, HE Peter Obi has done it before, he will do it again.

Unpopular opinion: Re "Chronic MOs" -
While I personally advocate for japa and residency training While waiting for japa, I think we can be less condescending about those who choose a different path.
And as someone who was an MO for nearly 4years before residency, medical officers fill a very important community role in the current setup of the Nigerian health care system.
As long as one is updating knowledge, attending continuing medical education programmes, certifications and recertification of basic and advanced skills and reading cases and journals for new treatment regimens, they'd be fine in their roles.
Not everyone will/can deal with residency and it's idiosyncrasies and poor pay and they shouldn't be vilified for that.
Tone down on your personal biases and condescension please 🙏
