Is it innocent when they hammer stablecoin to mean US dominance coin?
No, it’s another scam, probably the biggest one
Now that ApeSTR is effectively bricked and can't resell apes, people have been asking if they can swap for apes in the pool, so I built a tool to do just that.
Live now at osnipe.app/pool-swap
Works for apes, pudgys, CDBs, meebits, moonbirds and cryptoadz. Squigs are there too but that contract does not hold any squigs anymore, so no real opportunities to swap.
Note that you'll need 2 of a given NFT to swap for a new one. One is used as the "bait" and returned to you after the swap.
Tomorrow, @Rhynotic will gift bait NFTs to the contract so that swappers do not need to provide one themselves. It will also be added to the NFTStrategy frontend (I think).
There is a small fee, half of which goes towards buying and burning the strategy tokens.
Note: the tool also supports the 10 BAYC that are in the BAYCExchange contract by @machibigbrother, and those do not require bait NFTs at all.
Happy swapping.
A quick note on this because it's maybe interesting:
These 21 apes are not truly bricked forever. They can be swapped for other apes using the same mechanism run this morning.
But all of the listings are cleared - ApeSTR effectively thinks it owns 0 apes - so nothing can be purchased.
So to you purists saying this is a deflationary event - it kind of is?
There are net-new 21 apes that can never be purchased, but which 21 those are can change from day to day.

We’ve updated the site: treat the seven affected contracts, labeled “The 7,” as using fees to buy and burn NFTs rather than relist them.
As Quit noted, the bug lets holders swap NFTs. We bought one from each collection and plan to build a tool to swap yours for one in the pool.

This turns the 7 contracts into an interactive NFT museum
Here we go; this is the lens to apply. And there are more cool things that can be done with this strange new floor museum with 7 galleries
Tldr lfg, you’ll see
Yesterday’s ApeSTR exploit created something nobody expected: a BAYC void that also works as an Ape swap shop.
The contract still holds 21 BAYC, but all 21 have lost their sale records. ApeSTR can no longer sell them through its normal functions, and there’s no upgrade or owner rescue.
1. A growing void. Those 21 Apes form a minimum locked reserve. Anyone can send more BAYC directly into the contract, increasing the number of unlisted Apes. But the existing 21 can’t simply be bought back through the strategy.
2. An Ape swap shop. Here’s the interesting part. The same exploit still allows someone to retrieve a specific Ape from the void. You put in a BAYC you no longer want, use another BAYC as a temporary catalyst, and take out the exact Ape you want. The catalyst comes back to you. One Ape enters, another leaves. The number stays the same, but the Apes inside can keep changing.
3. A different kind of burn. Next time @osseneth wants to burn another BAYC, why not send it to ApeSTR instead of the dead address? It would leave the normal market without being destroyed. Someone could swap it out someday, bringing that Ape back into circulation.
ApeSTR was built to trade Apes. Its own bug has now turned it into a strange permanent reserve where the occupants can change, but the original 21 slots can’t be emptied through normal sales.
The Apes can disappear from the market without disappearing forever.

Guess I found some pnkstr hating lore gold

What’e evil about buying punks and listing them higher? Your lack of free vested interest?
CT in shock
Nothing to see here 🚨🚨🚨
Just a guy who happens to own 25% supply of a coin he’s shilling as the unofficial coin of cryptopunks marking his territory against a donation to the @nodefnd

I’m proud to announce that we’ve donated ownership of the PunkStrategy contract to the NODE Foundation.
I view the contracts we create at TokenWorks as art. NODE is already the home of the CryptoPunks IP, and I think they’re the right people to carry this idea forward. Being able to donate PunkStrategy to them means a lot to me.
With this transfer, TokenWorks’ share of trading fees will now go to NODE, giving them a new revenue stream to support artists, exhibitions, and more. We think this is the best home for the project.
PunkStrategy runs autonomously and is designed to keep running for as long as Ethereum does. At the time of writing, the contract holds 37 Punks, which remain governed by its rules. The owner can only do three things:
* Set the trading fee on the hook between 1% and 10%
* Set the relisting multiplier for newly purchased Punks between 1.1x and 10x
* Claim the owner’s share of trading fees.
We’ll continue tweeting about PunkStrategy’s buys and sells and supporting the project. Both TokenWorks and I personally remain significant holders of PNKSTR.

Get yourself some haters for every wise move
So we’re plastering the Buy PNKSTR modal all over the official CryptoPunks marketplace and wallet app now?
Wasn’t the whole point of the new upcoming mobile wallet to keep Punk holders away from memecoins? Now we’re doubling down.
Instead of buying actual Punks, users are funnelled into speculating on them through a protocol that generates royalties for the Foundation.
But sure, nothing to see here. No conflict of interest, and absolutely no concerns about promoting a protocol with design flaws.
This is an exquisite move

Even Glyphs going for the cheap joke, we are so toasted
AutoGlyphStrategy was launched at @token_works and it has no volume
Soft DAOs are dead, permissionless tokens can be born dead too, and I have a mild cold tonight myself
