Love this @OpenAcoustics AudioMoth cake!
PhD viva passed today, with very minor corrections. Brilliant work @Nat_B_Zielonka. 4 years of amazing & impressive research, culminating in an incredible @AudioMoth cake. Thanks to @DuncanWestbury and Richard Davies for examining. Papers to come soon!!

Beautiful mature muskox (yutthéjëré) cow for #TrailCamTuesday. Every now and then, after sifting through thousands of images of blurry animal butts, you get a camera trap image that makes you question why you bring a handheld camera into the field at all. @ThaideneNene
We have passed a milestone with our GPS collared muskox study in Greenland!
We now have more than 1.000.000 hourly positions collected over the last 10.5 years.
73 deployments, 61 animals, 47 collars, 5 expeditions, 1 BBC/PBS TV programme & numerous scientific papers.
A few of us are going this spring to video record animals with collars and retrieve dropped off collars. I believe @BBC & @ChrisGPackham was invited to join us… ;)

Interesting stuff! So it adds on to a standard Audiomoth?
Experimenting with add-on GPS boards for @OpenAcoustics AudioMoth. Supported by the standard firmware and also the AudioMoth-GPS-Sync firmware.

From the sneak peak I got of the prototype of the large case, I think it will be very nice and popular!
Replying to @RinglerMax
We are hoping to able to run a GPS board campaign before the end of the year. Availability of GPS modules is still quite limited. The new case is close to being ready. Final mould manufacturing is still in process.
Go work with Mikko! He is a great guy!
