So I’m entering a rather difficult period of time. I had to put my mom on hospice and don’t have a solid time frame for progression and end. Her SS and my pay for being her caregiver go poof when she passes. How can I ask for financial help?

We have a little saved up, but part of that would go directly to paying off the credit card. Most medical stuff is covered, but I’d have no income immediately when she passes and that would mean housing would be threatened.

I don’t like asking for help as I know there are people in their own problems, but I also know that getting a job, even two jobs in short order can be a longer process than just getting the jobs. So any thoughts on what to do?
