Thailand to deport Israeli woman after Koh Phangan row
Thai immigration authorities have revoked the visa of a 33-year-old Israeli woman following complaints over alleged outbursts on Koh Phangan, including threatening national park staff and ordering hotel guests to leave.
She is being held pending deportation to Israel, with authorities also proposing to blacklist her from re-entering Thailand.

Thailand will require identity verification for paid social media ads from 1 November under its “No ID, No Ads” policy.
The rules cover platforms including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, and apply to advertisers targeting audiences in Thailand, even if they are based overseas.
Platforms must verify advertisers before publishing paid promotions and retain identifying information for at least 90 days after advertising services end. Ordinary unpaid posts are exempt.
The government says platforms could share liability for losses linked to online scams, depending on the circumstances and applicable laws.
Businesses and advertising agencies are urged to prepare the necessary documents before the rules take effect.

India: Very Severe Cyclonic Storm Arnab is expected to make landfall near Yanam on Wednesday morning, with a storm surge of up to 2 metres is forecast near Kakinada and Yanam.
Around 89,000 people are being moved to 101 relief camps in Andhra Pradesh, while Odisha is evacuating 48,000 people across eight districts. More than 1,700 cyclone shelters are ready, and 4,711 pregnant women are being moved to health facilities.
Schools are closed, fishing is banned until 29 October and at least 61 trains have been cancelled. Disaster response teams, the armed forces and Coast Guard are on standby.
