Exciting to see my work with @OlgaStoddard @kbuzard7 featured outside the hallowed halls of academia 😴😴😴 Thanks so much to @ConversationUS for highlighting the downsides of being the “default parent” as many return to school this month theconversation.com/better-c…
My kids made @BostonGlobe reporting on the #BostonMarathon today. So proud my eldest discussed percentages
NATICK — While runners tossed half-eaten bananas to the side of the road, life gave five kids lemons. Those lemons were a perfectly located house, right on the marathon course, so they decided to make lemonade.

Very happy that our paper “Gender Norms and Labor-Supply Expectations” (w/ E. Grewenig & K. Werner) is published in @EJ_RES (tinyurl.com/56c2dmfb).
In a survey of 2,000 adolescents, making traditional gender norms salient lowers girls’ expected work hours and related outcomes.

Having a great time at the AFE conference so far. They projected Zoe Cullen’s keynote above the bar last night: wise words that apply to field experiments and choices at the bar “less is more sometimes”
Other highlights were @bocowgill won the best paper award.

Little late, but worth sharing — @WSJ covered our study on the impact of access to full-day childcare services in CT w @john_eric Seth Zimmerman
The finding that earnings rise and stay higher well beyond the period when kids are in childcare is striking to me, particularly because it points to significant frictions to human capital accumulation and labor force attachment.

A sneak peek into some brand new work with @kbuzard7 and @LauraKGee on the gender gap in the invisible mental load and why it exists 🚀
"We know there’s a gender gap in visible tasks, things like who is cooking dinner, doing the housework, coordinating child care. What we don't currently know is whether that gender gap extends to the invisible mental load.” Read our Q&A with @olgastoddard: bit.ly/4eQenlv
