The golf establishment media has come out today in support of DISCRIMINATION and EXTORTION. They have also suggested that Jon Rahm should leave his principles behind and accept said discrimination and extortion as normal. It was the same golf establishment media and the OWGR who accused and condemned LIV Golf of discrimination by nationality just a few weeks back (without actual reason, the player in question didn't secured his LIV Golf playing privileges). I guess they have a problem with discrimination when they use it without reason to accuse LIV Golf of it, but no problem with discrimination when it's real and done by the establishment. If you take the PGA Tour/DPWT "strategic alliance" out of the equation, why haven't the DPWT asked dual members of the Asian Tour and DPWT for the same conditions they are asking LIV Golf/DPWT dual members? Why the DPWT BEFORE their "strategic alliance" with the PGA Tour didn't force dual members to ask for releases or fine them when the PGA Tour at the time was an actual threat to the DPWT? Some people may mention that LIV is a threat to the DPWT and this is justified based on business protectionism even though they didn't do the same before. Right now the Asian Tour is also a threat to the DPWT. So much so that the PGA Tour and European Tour (DPWT) tried to make a deal with the Asian Tour before the Asian Tour board contrary to the DPWT board made the correct decision and did a deal with LIV Golf/PIF instead. Since that deal was done the Asian Tour has been in direct competition with the DPWT even having events in England and Scotland in the past. But the DPWT doesn't ask dual Asian Tour/DPWT members the same conditions as they are asking of LIV players. In fact, the DPWT doesn't ask any of their members who belong to any other tour not named LIV Golf for the same conditions they are asking the LIV Golf dual members. Neither does the DPWT extort any other members for money (fines) through force or threats while asking them to comply with a different amount of minimum events than the rest of their membership and much less choosing which of those extra events they have to attend. The golf establishment discrimination and extortion of LIV Golf and its players is clear. It has been clear for a few years now. So is the golf media participation in it.
